Where is your spouse from? If somewhere that shares intelligence with Canada like the US background checks are done fairly quickly.
She's from France. I just wonder if it's a "false positive" if that make sense. And the medical exam still not completed after two weeks, I guess it's normal?

Let's hope your application won't take too long! To be honest, I'm trying to not get too excited until we get eCOPR :D The BG was processed so fast it's almost hard to believe.

Hey @Lys01, that’s an amazing timeline, super fast! Do you happen to know which visa office is processing your application? And are you or your spouse currently based in a major city like Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal? Just wondering if location or visa office plays a role here.

When I received the AIP, it said Mississauga so I assume that's the visa office? We both live in Toronto.

Nice I live in BC mine says mississauga too, so far no medical request and background check in progress might be longer than yours but I'm okay with that lol, hopefully no more than feb-march 2026 but the processing estimates would point to Feb 2027 if they're accurate. Let's see

Posted processing time for inland are way off compared to anecdotal processing times. Most inland without any red flags are done in under a year.

France is an ally country and no fraud concern since no huge upside to moving to Canada. Both lead to faster processing. If you have been living together in Canada another reason for faster processing.
