Hi, I raised from query to indian embassy through Sampark. I was waiting for my query to be answered before applying the visa. I am not sure which visa i need to apply. Can someone please tell me how long do they take to respond the queries.

96 hrs count only working days usually eta get under 48 hrs,
Yes, a Surrender Certificate is required if you're applying for an e-Tourist Visa (eTV or eTA) from Canada and you were previously an Indian citizen.

Progressing time is not for entry visa but you can apply for OCI in India only if you on entry visa.

Getting an entry visa takes a lot longer than an eVisa—around 45 days compared to just 2–3 days. Plus, you’ll need to send in your Canadian passport for the entry visa since it gets pasted into it.
