Hello,
i was wondering if anyone can help me out with this, my graduation letter was issued on 21st December, 2018 and it states program completion date as 14th December, 2018 and I received my Diploma certificate somewhere in January 2019 (which was mailed to my home address because my graduation ceremony was in June 2019) which also states certificate awarded on 14th day of December month 2018 and my transcripts were issued on 25th January, 2019. I am having hard time figuring which date should I consider as my graduation date as per OINP : JOIS because they have a rule that we have to apply in between 2 years after the date of graduation.

Yeah on diploma it says 14th December 2018. So i guess i wont be eligible for OINP JOIS cause i registered on 26th November but due to technical issues they just issued me a file number on December 15th, 2020. Bad luck. Maybe i can apply next year in OINP FW Stream. Anyways thank you so much. Have a great day.

Hello to all, good afternoon. Can anyone please clarify how long we are eligible until we get an ITAS in OINP Master Stream, based on if someone did a call to OINP Or on their past experience Or someone has encounter such issue? They have mentioned two different clauses the one said within two years of completing requirements or date on your degree? Some individuals saying if you get completion before than it will count from that date and some seniors are saying when you get your degree. THANK YOU

You must submit your application within two years of completing the requirements necessary to obtain your masters degree.

This means that the date on your degree must be within two years of your OINP application submission date, not the date you received the invitation to apply. For example, if your degree is dated June 1, 2021, you must have registered an EOI, received an Invitation to Apply, and submitted your application on or before June 1, 2023.

If you don’t have your degree yet, use the date on the official letter from your university which states when your degree will be granted.

Eligible for 2 years from when degree/diploma is granted. For example, your convocation may be on June 20 but the date on the degree may be April 30 (date you completed program).

Dear Naturgrl, but in case of use we got completion letter early and after 4 months we have got degree on the day when convocation get conducted. So it 5 to 6 month of difference in two certificate.

And the date on degree they have mentioned is on the day of convocation. So it’s bit confusing

Date of completion would be the one counted (earliest date). It is not date of convocation but you can ask OINP. From the OINP site:

If you don’t have your education credential yet, use the date on the official letter from your college or university which states when your education credential will be granted.

Completion letter or graduation letter when it got printed have earlier month but when we get official degree it dated 5 months later on graduation letter. So, the thing is which one matter the most as OINP clearly also states degree certificate even filling eoi it says graduation date. So what’s the certain thing is hard to say.
