Is there anyone who's work permit got refused and sent a reconsideration request and got response from IRCC?

If so, can you please share a timeline here?

There's no timeline in this case. It's on a case by case basis.

Just be aware that you may be out of status if you are in Canada.

Thanks! I called IRCC yesterday to explain my situation and she told me that your reconsideration request has been forwarded to the immigration office. Do you know think they will inform me about the reconsideration update or just ignore?

It depends on a decision maker. Most often you get an update and/or a decision on your reconsideration request. Sometimes IRCC just reopens your application and makes a decision again. Not always a positive one.

It can be weeks, months.

If it's not a straightforward error in law or in fact from IRCC, then just re-apply if you can address the refusal reasons.
