Hi guys, anybody got email from IRCC for citizenship to passport pilot program invitation?

I wonder if anybody opted for it and when can we submit interest, before even oath ceremony or we need to wait for ceremony?

I think they invite only few applicants.
I don't think you can “opt in.” You are either invited or you are not. For those invited, they get the email before the ceremony.

Correct, if you get email then you have to optIn if interested. I got an email, so wondering if anybody received invite and optedIn
There were a few cases I recall posts about here, at least a couple of months ago.

They were very positive, saved time and hassle. It's a pilot though so I do not know how fast processing is compared to eg urgent application. If you don't have travel planned for say 4-8 weeks after doing your oath, shouldn't be any significant risk.

Just got our virtual ceremony date update on the tracker.

August 8. Which is exactly one month after the in-person one we had to request a change for.
Congrats! But oof, that's quite a delay, but I remember in your case the change was more of a necessity. Out of curiosity, where are you located? I wonder if the more populated the city is, the longer the delay will be due to the local offices' staffing.

I'm in Drumheller, which is about 1.5 hours outside of Calgary. We would have had the in-person ceremony in Calgary, too. Nothing happens out here in the sticks!

I wasn't TOO worried about it, though. Once we'd gotten the in-person invite, I knew all the other stuff was approved, so it was just a matter of time until they got to us again.

My only real worry (and I am VERY good at inventing things to worry about) is that somehow they forgot that we'd requested the change, and they thought we'd abandoned the application.

I have an in-person interview with the Scarborough office on 23 July. This is my timeline:

AOR: 4-Feb
Background: 21-Feb
Test done: 7-Mar
Language skills complete: 5-Jun
Physical presence & prohibitions pending

I applied with 1,096 days, so I am sure the interview is about that (interview email was "confirmation of documents). I have confirmed my travels with reports from the CBSA, and everything matches up, so no worries there. Was just wondering if anyone has had an interview recently, and if so how long till they heard back about their oath steps?

Usually it takes a couple of days (based on what I’ve seen in other posts). It seems like the interviewers update the application status on their backend during the interview, and then the tracker portal takes a day or two to sync those changes. I think they run some kind of scheduled update to sync the backend with the portal.
