I'm not expert here but in my case I considered myself in "implied status" given that I submitted my application before my permit expires however I think I read somewhere that there was a guidance issued by IRCC recently regarding two applications made before your current permit expires. I can't find the link but I will post it here once I see it.

Did IRCC just withdraw your application after that webform or did IRCC asked for confirmation of withdrawal i.e a form to sign after the webform? How long did application take to be withdrawn from after you requested it? And did you receive any email stating it had been withdrawn?
And has your previous application been withdraw yet? Or do you have two applications under process.Yes i did
I'm in a problem where someone fraudulently withdrew my PGWP application. I have sent them multiple webforms explaining i dont want to withdraw the application but I fear they might still do that. Which is why im thinking maybe I should submit another PGWP application?

Hi, I received ext letter on both of applications, because I applied the second one right after the withdraw and the first ext letter (that I wrongly applied close work permit to work for current employer) stating I can work with my current employer until next year, therefore I keep working with same condition while waiting for my second ext permit, I am not sure that I did it right or not, but at the moment you applied for pgwp, you are eligible to work full time.Did you get the ext letter on both of the applications for pgwp? It takes me 3 working days for both applications (closed and open wp). And my closed wp application has just withdrawn today.How long did it take for you to receive the second ext letter?

Was it just withdrawn randomly and you got an update? Or did they ask you for your confirmation first and then withdraw it? Or did you just receive email of it being withdrawn?
