LMIA exemption C-51 charity worker: Help!

Hi All!

I’m hoping to apply for a closed work permit through my current employer (registered charity), using the LMIA exemption code 51 for charity workers.
My work serves my organization‘s mandate and the organization does not benefit financially from my labor—but the parameters for qualifying are a bit vague.

Has anyone successfully applied under this exemption? And if so, would you mind sharing your job title and some of your job tasks? Or Noc code?

Since you have the LMIA exemption then you prove you can do the job/NOC with your work experience, education and language skills.

The fact that you have been employed without the exemption may make this difficult. What was your previous WP?

Impossible to say what will happen but expect a lot of scrutiny to determine if this really falls under the limited scope of this exemption. Is your employer willing to apply for an LMIA? What is your NOC?
