Received passport request for my father 30 mins back. Am I right to assume that application is approved? On portal status is In Progress, & on Tracker it still shows Eligibility as Not started.

After such a long time there was an update made on tracker, Eligibility got updated as "Completed" on 11-July. Passport had reached IRCC, Delhi on 10-July for visa stamping. Let's see when passport gets stamped & dispatched.

Visa validity duration is displayed in tracker now, both of my parents got long term Visas. Mother got till expiry of her passport in 2032 & father got it till expiry of his biometrics in 2029.

Edit: & it’s showing update as of 13-July, which is Sunday. This information was not there when I logged in yesterday.

just checked it. Bear with me , its so confusing, i went to gc key : eligibility in progress. Nd background not applicable. Same as usual but….
I went to tracker : today it shows eligibility completed. & bckground in progress.

I still have no update on eligibility. An update on the tracker from yesterday that they recieved the webform on June 30th (i had already gotten the reply for that last week) on the ircc portal it is showing they received the information I sent via webform on June 30th again but saying they received it on the 9th of July. I am so confused. Why are they so unorganized ? It's annoying because they have not even started the eligibility and I applied on may 27th! Frustrated now.

You applied May 27 and there is an huge backlog because everyone applies right before the summer months. if it is so annoying and you feel it is unorganized then tell your MP that you are being treated poorly with valid reasons according to the law. Tell them you deserve to have your case case expedited. Not sure what you raised a webform for but it just adds time to your case.

I applied for Canada tourist visa in IRCC and sent my passport to VFS New York. But I didn't get any email from them about tracking number and other stuff.
I called their helpline, and agent said the passport is now with them after visa stamping. He told me to send another shipping label as I sent one label and expected that they will send both passport together.
I sent an email on Friday evening to escalations.canny@vfsglobal.com to get updates of passport. What to do now?

So is sister single? Did she (not anyone else) show enough funds? Was visit only 2 weeks? IRCC is strict.

yes, single and funds of more than $10k shown on bank statement. visit was estimated to be month and half. I previously applied for mothers visit and she stated visit time of 3 months. visa was approved for her

But she is your mother. Sister is not immediate family so she has no family ties and wanting to come for over a month. Processing times are estimates and if you read that it says when most are processed. Hopefully she is approved but if she wants answers then she should hire an immigration lawyer to file letter of intent to demand response since she has waited for so long.

Applied on June 5th(second time). still waiting for response. raised a webform today to look upon.

Got a generic response for my webform today(Jul 15th). was able to get into application tracker yesterday. eligibility not started. background in progress. The tracker was updated on Jul 10th.
