Anyone who got status change to oath invite also have an updated stating waiting on you for more information?

My invite is 16 July on tracker but am assuming they need something before that ?

Application filed: Oct 28 2024
AOR: Nov 8
Copies of passport request: Nov 8
Test in progress: Nov 22
Finger print: Nov 25
Finger print done: Nov 26 ( received by IRCC Jan 12 2025) due to Canada post strike.
Then everything went silent for 5 months.
I ordered ATIP and sent several web form, but I guess my last web form got on their nerves.
Physical presence completed: June 3
Got invites to attend virtual interview on June 19
LPP completed: June 21 2025
Schedule for Oath ceremony: July 18
Do you think ATIP and webform could expedite the process in any form?

Mine is stuck since March with no update ever since. BG and Prohibition are still in progress.

Should I order ATIP, or GCSM notes or web form or ask an MP to follow up?
I’m not entirely clear on what they mean, or when you should use one vs the other, but I’ve heard people mentioned them this forum.

I appreciate if someone could clarify these terms in relation to this process and advice on the best course of action at this point?

Thanks for your help!

Alright so the tracker updated saying we sent you email for action and that oath scheduled for 16th July

No oath instructions yet.., but is that the email they are referring too or is it something else ?

Yes, it'll be the oath instructions email. It's usually after the tracker is updated, and keep in mind one part of their system (the tracker) has no actual 'knowledge' that the email has been sent.

You'll get the invitation email in plenty of time.

Oath scheduled in tracker for my wife.

Tracker updated July 9
Oath July 22

No email yet so not sure which type. She actually has a scheduling conflict that day, so I’m not sure what we will do.

I advise that you do your best to make it work. I needed to reschedule, and I was naive enough to think that it wasn't going to be more than a month of delay. In my case, it was about not wanting to lose the money I invested in attending an important professional event. I don't regret it, I am just a bit bitter to see that they probably just put me at the end of the line, and I dragged my husband with me :/.

I have received the CBSA GCM notes and I found the following:

NOTE 1
  • Date Created/Updated: 2025/04/17
  • Label: General
  • Text: ICES Requested through GCMS on this date.
  • Office: Vancouver Citizenship
NOTE 2
  • Date Created/Updated: 2025/04/16
  • Label: General
  • Text: PPT copies and ICES to be requested.
  • Office: Vancouver Citizenship

My LPP is still in progress. The background and test were updated in January. Do you know what the ICES request is and how long it usually takes?

Integrated Customs Enforcement System (“ICES”)

ICES is a national Canadian database of lookout information and enforcement activities that, amongst other things, contains information about Canadians who have come into contact with CBSA, or individuals who might seek to enter the country and might pose a risk. In addition to traveller records, ICES contains information on customs seizures for a period of five years. As well, ICES contains a record of every vehicle (and theoretically individual person) entry into Canada. (Practitioners generally request copies of ICES when representing individuals in permanent resident card renewal applications.)

Based on googling, it seems they're verifying your physical presence days, usually due to low number of physical presence days.

In addition to traveller records
Fully agree with your post but will just double-underline bold and italic* this part: the most practical use is that requesting this will obtain the entry-exit records for IRCC. Which, obviously, can be used to compare against the absence (exit-entry) records provided by the applicant with the citizenship application.

That part probably entirely routine, even for applicants with lots of days. (I don't know if they actually do so for all applications, but probably)

The 'ppt copies ... to be requested' is presumably not for all applicants but not certain - if so, logically amongst other reasons for those with low(er) physical presence days or complicated absence histories, etc.

Thank you so much for the information you shared. As you mentioned, it seems they are checking my physical presence days, even though I have 1,470 days, which is not a low number. I hope this process doesn’t take too long.

Thank you for all the information you are sharing. My physical presence is 1,470 days within the eligibility period. This may be because I had a long trip of 9 months..
