50 months in Quebec
I never imagined processing time for any immigration program to be that long. With current backlog in H and C applications 70k, unfortunately unless reforms are implemented to speed up first stage decisions, processing time may get worse. One thing I hope IRCC will do is to remove all cases not involving best interest of children from the backlog.

It really feels like Quebec is trying to make people give up. The immigration process is getting slower and slower and it seems like they’re dragging applications on purpose.

I agree. It seems the delay is on purpose because why on earth AIP which is just a decision on eligibility takes 2 years now. Stage 1 decisions were just taking few months back in 2021.

There were periods of time in the not so distant past where processing times for certain application programs exceeded 10 years.

As far as I know in the last 5 years, I dont remember processing time for any immigration program to be longer than 36 months, except in Quebec.

I've been around here a bit longer than you. The two examples I can think of is when FSW applicants waited 5+ years (this was pre Express Entry) and then a large batch of applications were just canceled. Parent sponsorship ended up being 10+ even 13+ years before the introduction of the caps about 10 years ago.

I did and after one+ month no response from them, looks like they have stopped providing ATIP notes.
Same here, no response have received yet. I have seen a police officer around my building yesterday and I was wondering if they come to check me. He was around the front door checking names on the buzz. Do they usually fo this?

I just received notes. It says file assigned to officer on April. And there is one more note on June but it just says created and updated. No text/ explanation. Has anyone experienced this before?

Applied June 2023.
I have also noticed that my secondary office changed to Niagara Falls. What does it mean?
Primary office still Vancouver.
I think you have AIP since Niagara office is the one processing second stage.

Police may check up anytime at someone's house without notice,it happened to me before, I heard a knock on my door one day,I looked through the window and saw two policemen one at the door the other one moping around near the other window.I opened the door, they said someone called 911 and it is from my apartment, I said I didn't call 911 and it wasn't from here, they said can we come in,one of them came into the house asking the same question, they said a lady called 911 and hung up,are you sure it is not your wife,I said no, they asked me,how many people in the house,I told them only my children but wife not at home..
They said can we see your ID, I went to bring my ID,one followed me and stopped half way close to the room,I gave them my ID, they made a call but I don't know who they called, but gave the person the name on my ID and returned it to me and left.
