Hi hims0912.
Congratulations! So happy for you.

I'm in the same situation as you. Except my mom received his passport request letter on May 06. My mom is here but my dad is not in Canada. My mom is the primary applicant. Like you, I sent the webform informing them that my mom is in Canada and my dad is back home. We received the acknowledgement, and have been waiting ever since for the P1 email. I wonder why it's taking them so long. Is it because my dad is back home. I sent them a webform last week and they just replied with everything is ok and we need to wait.

Was your mother the sole applicant?
yes, my mother is the sole applicant, dad had passed away long back. I had sent the webform back on the same day as PPR (June 4th) , June 10th i had got acknowledgment from IRCC agent saying they have forwarded the information regarding ready for visa letter to the responsible office and then June 19th i got the P1.
I had read on the forums and YT videos back from 2022 here that in past for virtual landing request people tried to email IRCC at below address to request and used to get P1 response so i did try this and had sent email on June 9th but i really doubt if it worked or helped my case in any way as i had not received any acknowledgment or anything for this, this was me just being impatient unnecessarily actually so had tried it :(

i think best approach is to wait out as in your case one parent is inside Canada and other is not and since you have informed IRCC about this already so i guess just wait for IRCC instructions. This process is known to take super long and very lucky we all got picked last year :)

It’s valid for 1 year from the date of the medical exam was passed. How long did it take for VFS to stamp and send back your passports with eCOPR
HI ,
I have got passport submission email from VFS i have just completed 2nd medicals of my dad in Mid May awaiting further action of IRCC

Thanks
Abhishek

Visa validity is tied to validity of COPR. Usually COPR valid for lesser of:
1. one year from issue of COPR
2. one year from the date of medical exam date (medical expires in one year)

i.e., which ever comes earlier of the above

One needs to complete the landing process before the COPR expires.
Thank you

Guys, anyone had a similar case like this? I received the biometric info request on June 16 and the eligibility letter on June 18, but I still haven't received the medical request yet... Processing office is Missisauga. From what I have seen here, people get bio and metric requests within just a few days...Wondering why it's not my case....

nothing unusual here. In my case, Dec 16th biometric req received, dec 18th moved to Mississauga office and medical request came in Jan 23rd. So medical req can be many days after biometric.

Thank you for your response, my friend! It would be nice to receive those 2 requests together since lots of applicants do not have direct access to have their biometrics and medical done within their city so they would have to travel to somewhere else to complete the procedures.

I am wondering what process the office is following that results in cases like mine, but I guess we will never know lol

Hi- I received a letter from IRCC saying that I have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor for my parents PR application, and CPC-Mississauga will be processing the application. The letter asks for Updated residential address, RRPF, Medical Examination, Biometrics, PCC, Military Service, CV-Resume.

A few questions to regd. this:

1. I recall sending RRPF (fees) receipt, Resume as part of original documentation. Do I need to submit them again?
2. My parents lived in the US for around 10 months in the US during covid. Do they need PCC from the US? They have lived in Canada also for around a year on visitor record visa extension so do they need Canada clearance from RCMP? we have not received any special letter for Canada PCC though.
3. I had already submitted the PCC from home country a few months ago. Do I need to resubmit it?
4. Medical examination in IRCC secure portal shows as passed. I am assuming they used the results from my parents recent approved super-visa application, Will they need to do anything again?
5. They completed biometrics submission just last week. Will the IRCC portal show any update for it?

If someone can respond based on their experience it would be super helpful.
Thank you!
Hi all, can any experienced member help me with these questions please? TIA!

1. If they are asking specifically for any of these documents to submit, you have to submit. I think they send you a heads up to submit if there is any change from originally submitted resume.
2. For US you may need to submit police clearance, for Canada, you dont need to if they are not asking specifically.
3. Same as above like point 1. I do not think you need to send PCC again.
4. If you don't receive separate medical request, I think you do not need to do anything. Often, they use the old medical if done recently for other visa purpose.
5. They will show update but sometimes it takes time. Do not worry as long as you have done biometrics and have receipt for it if they ever ask proof.
