Congratz i'm aug 2022 and probably gonna wait till mid 2026. (qc)

Well you know, I waited for 6 months, after my hearing they didnt answer same day. So I lost 6 months just waiting for the decission. I should apply on dec 2022 but they did that to me. So sad and unfair but what to do.
Hope you can get you PR before of 2026.
Good luck!

It would have been sad if you had been refused after 6 months given that there were some concerns about your file. Given the 6 months processing this was likely a potential outcome. Then you would have had to attempt RAD, JR, H&C, etc. with no guarantee of PR.

Well my case was well founded, what I think it takes long time to write the report. That´s what they said when requested for the decission. They told me the officer could take the longer 6 months to make the decission, well she took all the time available.
It´s supposed when they refuse, usually do it same day.

No if refused doesn’t have to be the same day. If anything refusals often take longer. Members don’t take 6 months unless they want to take more time considering the case and/or do more research before giving a judgement. You got approved in the end but there was clearly some concern so you gained time versus potentially being refused and having to file an RAD. All about perspective.

Does anyone have a rough timeline on how long it's taking for PR application made in May 2023, Mine was due to be completed on April 2025 it's still processing.

I haven't gotten any request for documents or any communication since applying other than invitation to pre arrival services on August 2024

Hi,
I’ve applied in May 30th, 2023. Same as yours. End of August pre arrival and after 2 weeks in September eligibility. That’s all.

I only share what my lawyer told me. And she is immigration lawyer, a good one.
I waited for 3 months for my decision to be made after my hearing. The maximum time to wait is 3 months. IRCC never sent me the decision letter at my home address, I contacted my lawyer close to the deadline and he received my decision within 1 month of hearing and never told me. They like to get paid. I applied my PR on my own. I contacted IRB and IRCC and got my decision letter within a month of requesting. Meaning I waited for 4 months and my decision was made within a month of hearing. You applied in August 2023. January 2023 applicants are receiving decisions so far. You have to wait for another year most probably. The processing time is increasing since January 2025 and has increased for about 6 months since then. Dont be desperate, officer will open your file when it comes to your timeline. Everyone has a different processing meaning some of them wait for background checks from there previously stayed countries. As long as your file is under processing and you have received eligibility thats what matters. Stay calm and wait. Btw im February 2023 applicant still waiting

The maximum time is six months. An immigration Officer told me. They can't wait longer to notify the decission.

person taking your hearing tells the timeline on how long it will take for the decision if they dont give it the same day. I hope you read the rest of the message. Tracking others will only get you desperate.
