Hi everyone,

I have one year of house job experience (paid internship) after completing my MBBS. I'm considering using NOC code 31102 – General Practitioners and Family Physicians for this experience. Could anyone confirm if this is the most appropriate NOC code for a house officer?

Also, my actual work period was from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, which is exactly one year (12 months / 365 days). However, the Express Entry profile only allows you to input months—not specific dates. This seems to cause a problem with the system recognizing it as a full year.

Would it be acceptable (or advisable) to enter the experience as July 2022 to July 2023 instead, to avoid the ineligibility issue?

Any advice from someone who’s gone through this would be really helpful. Thank you!

If your experience letter matches the NOC with salary, dates worked etc. then should count. Does your job letter state July 2023? July 1 to June 30 is 364 days.

I do not have a job letter, but I do have a house job completion certificate that clearly states the dates. The period from 1st July 2022 to 30th June 2023 is exactly 365 days, which meets the one-year requirement. However, when I enter July 2022 to June 2023 in the Express Entry profile, it’s not being accepted as a full year. Would it be acceptable if I enter July 2022 to July 2023 instead, for clarity?
