I know what you mean. Now I just want any response, whether it be refusal or approval.

I got an MP involved here in Canada, they said criminality is passed and eligibility not started , funny criminality is usually done with biometrics which they had from the beginning so basically they have nothing done.

We both, husband and wife, applied on 28th May, Biometrics on 2nd June. I received my refusal on 9th June, and my husband's decision is still awaited. He is a retired military person from Pakistan and we wanted to visit my sister, who is a citizen. Can we expect his visa to be approved?

Yes you are right, i had experienced that background check done soon after biometrics. Don't knw what's going on. I recently checked many forums didn't get any logic why this is happening, just got one thing from different news and froums that ircc have backlog. This can be the only reason

This is also strange, why they didn't processed both applications together if they were submitted once. If they need to deeply check the background of your husband then they should confirm his first. Why they refused urs so fast it's strange.

I am so upset. We have a decent travel history and I wanted to meet my sister as our mother passed away in Pakistan and she didn't manage to come due to the time constraints.

You should apply review what i suggest. Most probably this happeneds through AI. You have strong travel history and everything else which needed. So apply reconsideration, hopefully you will get visa

Please guide how can I reapply. We are very happy in our country and would never want to settle abroad. It is only I want to meet my sister whose son is autistic so she cannot travel frequently.
