Are processing times even real ?

80% of protected person in Quebec get their PR in 45 months according to Canadas website but I don’t see any, what’s happening? I don’t believe this processing times are real

If I finished everything and my turn in quota has arrived just send the final decision

That’s so annoying like 4 years is enough

Wow that’s a lot try calling them every 1-2 weeks to get updates

I’m 46 months in everything is done and I’m just waiting for IDK what

The thing that annoys me the most is why they don’t put the real processing time even if it’s 50 months just put the real one and don’t give false hope

There is no point calling every 1-2 weeks when this is the processing time Quebec applicants are experiencing. Unless your processing time is very different than other applicants calling is just a waste of your time.

This time You’re absolutely right, calling them feels like a waste of time. Every time we reach out, all we get are generic responses. The moment we ask for anything beyond the basics, they simply say they can’t do anything to help.

But one thing also i wanna add here people like Canuck78 is always feel very happy when people are in trouble and frustrated never seen any helpful answers always negativity or criticism.

Is this your opinion or a fact ? If it’s your opinion keep it to yourself

From experience calling at the right time 100% speeds up applications

Processing time is 45, I pass 45 I call I don’t care. Wether you send final decision or tell me what’s going on. So imma be calling every 3-4 weeks

Also Quebec applicants ARE RECEIVING FINAL decision before 45 months so what now ?

lol so true Canuck is one of his kind. To be honest I don’t know if he’s evil or a guy that thinks he’s doing good by telling people what makes them feel worse

Calling does not impact processing time unless there is an error or processing time is significantly different to others applying. If some people are receiving final decision earlier that is great. Sadly it still may take a while to get eCOPR. There are others who wait longer because their file may be more complex of they may be waiting for 3rd party information for longer. We see many spending hours each week calling IRCC and they are told the same thing every time. It has no impact on their file but it takes a lot of their time that could be used doing other things. Many don’t know that the IRCC customer service agents only has superficial access to your file and has minimal power to change anything. Comparing processing time to others waiting for the same program
gives you a much better idea of whether you are undergoing normal processing.

I’m providing realistic expectations. It’s not my fault IRCC and Canada’s immigration system is a mess.

I know someone from Quebec that got portal this week he’s around 47-49 months in

Any news anyone ?

Hello everyone ,

I were granted protected status in late 2021 after starting the refugee process in 2018. We submitted our PR application in Jan 2022 through Quebec and received our CSQ. All assessment passed and completed . Since early 2024 , our application status has been “ready for landing” and “in a queue for final decision,” but it has not moved for more than a year and half.

Throughout the process, my application has already exceeded the normal processing time. In Jun 2024, it was flagged by IRCC as passed the processing time , and the officer replied and confirmed it is "in a queue for finalization , Ready for landing , in keeping with QC immigration plan." Despite this, there has still been no progress or decision on my file.

I have contacted IRCC and my MP several times, and I was told the application is waiting on the Quebec government for the approval of your file , and is just waiting for Quebec to confirm their part. It has been a very long wait and is now well past the stated processing time.

Because of the emotional and financial stress this situation is causing, I am now considering moving from Quebec to Ontario. I would like to know:

Has anyone in a similar situation (protected person + CSQ) moved to another province before PR approval?
Did it affect your application?
Did IRCC or Quebec delay, cancel, or restart the file because of the move?
Is it safer to wait until PR is finalized?

I’m really exhausted and losing hope. I just want to know what my options are and if anyone had a positive (or negative) outcome after moving out of Quebec.

Thanks in advance for any help .

I am not an expertise but:

Since Ministere de l'Immigration (MIFI) of Quebec gov. approved your CSQ (certificat de selection du quebec residence permanent) document which is needed in order to be granted PR Status by IRCC,

MIFI supposed to notify IRCC because CSQ acts like an approval on your PR application from Quebec gov. according to IRCC website at:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...s/stage-1-processing-procedures.html#approval

I think MIFI did not notify IRCC of your approval CSQ as they supposed to do for whatever reason.

Have you tried to upload your CSQ copies using IRCC webform? if not, follow below:

Before uploading, name the files (PDF) like this:
your Last name(s) - your first name(s) - Quebec Selection Certificate - 1

if you have family just put it in order of their CSQ like:
Last name(s) - first name(s) - Quebec Selection Certificate - 2
Last name(s) - first name(s) - Quebec Selection Certificate - 3
and so on...

Then submit, and wait. I hope this help you and for everybody waiting his PR in Quebec.

Best of luck...

I have same issue i am April 2021 applicant Csq send 2 years back and again by my MP but no difference. Now because of delay my security is expired and they are reprocessing it so more time for no reason.

Did you check recently as you file is still passed everything because mine was passed and ready for landing since 2023 but now its security pending again.

All that appears to be happening is that they are waiting in a queue until it is finally their turn to land. Nothing appears to be missing if wrong with the application

At the same time you should still be in line waiting for landing which should not have changed.
