My officer notes say my application is in Vancouver and "Grant Review Ready PM03". I have heard such applications with PM03 will take a long time. Any opinions? Submitted on Jan. 20 and stuck at LPP, BG passed on April 3rd.

Finally, background verification came through.

PM03:Refers to the officer's rank/level (Program Officer, level 03). Higher-level officers (PM03+) handle complex cases, but this doesn’t necessarily mean your file is complicated—it’s just the standard workflow.

hey what number did you call on?

Anyone here still waiting for their LPP? I ask as my PR card expires this year and wondering if I should put in my PR card renewal application in parallel.

Yes, Jan 13 applicant here still waiting for LPP. If you must travel at anytime outside Canada you will need your valid PR Card. I'd say do it as no one knows for sure when we will get oath. Worst case scenario, that renewal application will be refused if you get oath before renewal is finalized.

No email received but my tracker has updated and shows LPP was completed on May 9th. Only Citizenship Ceremony is still outstanding and is in Not Started status.

LPP took around 6 weeks after Background completed.

I agree with this advice overall but would just note that lately PR card renewals have been going very quickly (at least for those in compliance etc, which all citizenship applicants should/would be) - like most in less than a month. Of course, YMMV.

Not saying it's not a good idea to renew - but with January citizenship app and if PR card expires in December (for example), I'd probably be comfortable waiting until, say, September - in case citizenship is completed before then. Fingers crossed anyway.

Obviously anyone can decide if they're more concerned or travel so important they can't risk it.
