You should accept that invitation and apply for CEC application too . Note you can have military PR applications under different streams. You have to pay application fees and right to permanent residence fees agains for CEC . If one application gets approved first, second application will get automatically withdrawn. CEC application processing time is 6 months or less other than non express entry PR application processing is almost 20 months.
You can apply for EE even if you have a non-EE PR application in progress.
These are your options:
1. Submit the application for EE, you'll have two ongoing applications. If one gets approved, they'll automatically cancel the other one.
PROS: you may get PR faster through the EE application (current processing times for CEC are 5 months). You can apply for BOWP right away with the EE application (AOR usually comes 24 hours after submitting the application), but given that your PGWP expires in 2026 you may not even need it.
CONS: you have to pay for 2 applications and you won't get refunded for one if the other one is approved (if you receive AOR for the non-EE application).
2. Don't apply for EE and continue with the non-EE application you've already submitted.
PROS: You don't have to pay for a second application.
CONS: non-EE applications are taking very long nowadays. Official IRCC estimate processing times are 21 months.
3. Apply for EE and withdraw your non-EE application (before receiving AOR for the latter).
PROS: EE processing will be faster and you'll get a refund for your non-EE application fees (if withdrawn before AOR).
CONS: You won't have a backup plan in case something goes wrong with your EE application.
It all comes down to whether you're willing to pay for two applications.

Accept it Fast in 5months you get your PR however for Non express it takes 21months
Hello, I got FD on my PR application but don’t have portals/ecorp yet. I also applied for Open Work Permit extension 3 months ago and did not get decision yet. My current permit is till Nov 2026. Do I have to withdraw my WP application or IRCC will cancel it themself? Thank you
@Miss bee hello I have a question for address change.So when I got portal 1 I put my old address on it but after getting portal 2 I have seen you have to put your mailing address on PR PORTAL so they can send you the PR card so can I put a new mailing address when I am filling my mailing address details on PR PORTAL for my PR card or the address that I put on portal 1 has to be same on PR portal .

I just got a letter for IRCC requesting me to retake my biometrics

Provided biometrics (self and spouse): Dec 30, 2024
My spouse's biometrics were updated the same day in GCkey, but mines weren't. Today (4 months later) I received a letter saying:
"Based on IRCC’s records, you have provided your fingerprints and photograph. Unfortunately, upon further verification, it has been determined that there is an issue with the quality of the fingerprints and/or photograph that you provided. As a result, you must have your fingerprints scanned and photograph taken again. You are not required to pay a new biometric fee."
