Change university and course in existing study permit?

Oh I see, that's correct, I agree to that, I think he needs to apply a regular study permit with new PAL, but he was advised by the college he said that he doesnt need a PAL coz he is applying inside Canada. How true would that be?

Needs a new study permit showing funds of $21k plus tuition and justify costs with education and career progression when returns home. Tell him to ask college about PAL. May need one if completed program and permit expiring.

You aren’t changing DLI so don’t need a new study permit

Hello. I was admitted to University of Calgary and had visa approved but got late and University didn’t gave extension, so admission was cancelled. I reapplied and got readmitted in next year Fall term. Since I have same university with same DLI so I can travel and study on same visa right? Moreover, I have new PAL now so do I need to update to IRCC with my new PAL together with my new LOA?

I am kind of in the same boat, I applied for winter 2025 intake but my study permit came this month and last month university deferred me to fall 2025 intake, is it MANDATORY to update?| because I came across some people saying just take the updated LOA with you at port of entry.

Yes you must update or IRCC will ask for proof of enrolment from your school at your current start date.
