Hi, can I sponsor my 40 year old brother unmarried to Canada under this program if I’m permanent resident single during the whole process. My parents and grandparents are deceased. I only have one unmarried brother and married sister back home. I want to bring my unmarried brother here. Is it possible?

Do you have any children?
Do you have any living relatives that are PRs or citizens of Canada?
If you are single and have no living relatives as notes above, then you can sponsor your brother. (the fact if he's single or not is not important)
As other member replies, you also need to meet income requirement and the application can take a while to process.

Sorry I’m bit confused since I went through this blue link where point 1 says
- you (the person who wants to sponsor your relative) don'thave a living relative you could sponsor instead, such as a:
- spouse
- common-law partner
- conjugal partner
- son or daughter
- parent
- grandparent
- orphaned brother or sister
- orphaned nephew or niece
- orphaned grandchild. Are they taking about living relatives in Canada or in general?
Yes. You meet the requirement.
none of your siblings are "orphaned" (since they are all adults)
And you have no spouse or common-law partner since you are single
and you said you have no children and your parents and grandparents are all deceased.
So this list is for living relatives in general.
the other relatives part (uncle and aunts...etc. are for Canadian PR or citizen)
Ok thanks now got your point because I was bit confused regarding orphaned siblings. I totally understood he’s over 18 and considered adult so that orphaned thing doesn’t apply to him. Good day !!!
Applicant has applied as the other relative pursuant to Section 117(1)(h) of Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation which states that a foreign national is a member of the family class if, with respect to a sponsor, the foreign national is a relative of the sponsor, regardless of age, if the sponsor does not have a spouse, a common-law partner, a conjugal partner, a child, a parent, a grandparent, sibling and uncle, aunt, nephew or niece, who is a Canadian citizen,
Indian or permanent resident, or.. whose application to enter and remain in Canada as a permanent resident the sponsor may otherwise sponsor.

Since sponsor’s sister is alive and living in India and can be sponsored to Canada as a
permanent resident, I have concerns that you do not meet the definition of a family member as per R117(1)(h)(ii).
I got pfl today they saying I’m not eligible as I have sister is alive and could be sponsored. Their website says you could sponsor one relative of any age and I picked my adult brother. Btw my sister is adult too. What to reply have given me 30 days.

Age of my brother and sister are 40 years old. Their website says I could pick any one of relative regardless of age and related to blood and should not be Canadian pr, citizen or registered Indian.
