Short trip to USA before getting the PR card:

I am planning to take a short road trip to USA. My PR card is mailed today, but I guess Canada post strike will delay delivering it. So even tho I have more than two weeks, I am thinking it could not be mailed before trip. My working visa has still not expired. Can I go and cross the border with my visa??

Yes your working visa expired the moment they generated your COPR document. So you do not have a visa anymore. I think you can travel back and forth with your COPR document.

Please check this out first .. when you print the ECOPR it stamped “Can not use for travelling “ so to be on the bright side Check first before you go

If you are travelling via the land border on private vehicle (from US), you can use a print out of your eCOPR. BUT if you are going to fly in, you will need your PRTD or PR card.
