Study Permit Delay

I applied on April 2024 and have been stuck on background check since then below is a picture of my application history. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I have sent multiple webforms no response the application tracker says updated October 4 but nothing seems to be changed.

Almost same, i received ghost update on Oct 4th which only the application history was changed to that we have received your information. I think we can't do anything but to wait patiently and pray.

I have also been waiting since March end and only an update on portal on 5th October stating that 'We have received your enquiry'

Also raising multiple webforms can slow down the processing which is also mentioned when you raise a webform on IRCC website.

I live in UAE so applied my UAE.

well it is complicated because my nationality is Palestinian but I hold a Lebanese Refugee passport when i applied i put stateless (that is what the immigration lawyer adviced me to do)

And that is why background will take a long time. You applied stateless. Security and immigration checks have to be completed in Lebanon and Palestine, if they can be.

This makes your application so much more complicated because you are at high risk of claiming asylum as soon as you enter Canada not to mention a much more complicated background check.

I ordered my GCMS notes and from what I can understand is that criminality clearance has been pending since the start of my application. Is there anything that can be done about it?
