I need help please...I am a protected person status In Vancouver...I left Canada to Europe to my grandmothers funeral...All i have for Canadian documents is BC id...Long story...Before i left Canada immigration told me i can always come back as a visitor...But i am not getting my eta...Its been 2 weeks...I have a Canadian son in Vancouver i need to see....Am i being denied because of my status ???? Should i withdraw my status ???? How can i visit my son ??? Thanks...

You don't qualify for an eTA and cannot return as a visitor. You need an RTD. What travel document did you use to leave Canada if not an RTD? Hopefully the visit was not to your home country.
ok....i used emergency passport of my birth country and yes it was to home country for few days to go to the funeral plus that's the only trip i am allowed on emergency passport i believe....I wasn't go back to Canada my son was gonna come to Europe but he's 20 and he changed his mind and now we just miss each other its been a year...Is there anything i can do to go visit him...Thanks
I forgot to say my final destination was Ireland...Right after the funeral i been living in Irealnd

When did you leave Canada? This is reavailement so you should assume your protected person status is gone or will be lost.
An eTA won't be possible without an approved ARC as far as I'm aware.
Given your history in Canada, it may be quite difficult to return. Can your son visit you instead?
Im Czech so its easy to live in EUROPE....my son cant visit for a while due to his new situation for sometime....yes its been a year....So you think im done ??? well thats why i was not receiving any emails from eta...thanks anyway....i appreciate your communication who ever you are
Were you a PR and when did you get protected person status? You must have also used your Czech documents and citizenship to get to Ireland and live there. More grounds for reavailment.

Sounds like you got protected status using your birth countries passport versus your EU passport
