It worked for me. I specified my occupation as professional and submitted an explanatory letter stating that I am actively seeking employment in line with my profession.

And write a letter addressing the consulate with your sign about your unemployment and job search.. attach the soft copy on OCI portal.. and also carry the hard copy to BLS center

my form filled in premium service at BLS Toronto office recently.
30. Occupation chosen "others" from drop down. and then typed UNEMPLOYED
31. Employer's Address NA
32. Employer's contact number 000000

They do not want me to choose my profession (eg: doctor) from the drop down and then type unemployed and not applicable and contact number 00000. That is an error.
