Hello, I am a Canadian citizen living in Ontario and my mother lives in Bangladesh. She would like to visit me and her grandson so we are using the invite code from IRCC to create IRCC portal account. They ask for the phone number so should this be my Canadian number or my mother's Bangladeshi number? Thank you

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what steps you followed for the visitor visa for your parents?

for mother apply super visa, you will need to meet LICO requirement and get medical insurance for mother.
1. open IRCC portal
2. select super visa
3. Fill in the form
4. attach your financials and make sure you meet LICO requirments.
5. attach other docs from mother side, like if she av ties at home country, show them. like property, job, business, family memebers etc.
6. if you want to represent her, (means you are filling her forms etc) fill representative form and sign it.
7. pay the fee and submit the application
8. wait for biometric letter *usually it comes next day
9. book vfs appointment and send mother for biometric at vfs
10. wait for medical request
11. get medical done
12. wait for result
13. once passport request come, book appointment vfs and submit original passport
14. get visa stamp, book ticket and fly.

i hope i could roughly explain the steps.

Thank you for the information. My mother will come through regular visit visa for 6 months instead of super visa. Is it same process for regular visit visa for just 6 months?

Yes, almost same. Instead of medical and sponsor's financial requirements for last 3 years. For Visit visa - main thing will be your mom's own financial ability, family tie to Bangladesh and valid reasons/ situation that she will go back to Bangladesh after her visit.

Hi everyone.
I am applying for my mothers visitor visa as my Convocation Ceremony is near and while I was answering question in the IRCC portal, I was asked for my mothers Language.

CAN YOU COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH/or FRENCH?
- English
- French
- Both
- Neither.

Since my mother does not speak any of these two languages, what should I put there?
If NEITHER, will that affect her application?

Thank you!

Neither. No it will not affect her application. Assume you are acting as her representative.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
YES! I will be her unpaid representative. So in the section how you wanna be communicated,
I will put English?
That’s okay?
Thank you again

Thanks for the details. So I am applying for my mother's visitor visa as a representative, the section is asking "Tell us more about what you'll do in Canada. Include dates". So in here what's the best thing to say? Our situation is she wants to visit her grandson who just turned 1 years old and she hasn't met him yet.

And also, since I am her representative should I write with pronoun "I" or "She"? Thanks

I had the same situation - my parents want to see grandchild for the first time as well as visit us.
Purpose - to see grandson and sightseeing Time- I have mentioned for 3 weeks only. But if visa grants usually it's upto passport validity. So she can stay longer upto six months having visit visa.
Please show her own enough funds to visit Canada and stay+ show assets on her name+family tie and other ties to satisfy that she will be back after visit .
