If no comprehensive, within 2-3 months security
CBSA - 6-10 months
CSIS- 12- .... months

This timeline for security
Dear, do you mean CBSA takes 6-10 months + CSIS 12 months = 2+ years?

I have also been stuck in security check since Feb 2023, and my office is also in Winnipeg, last week I received notes from CSIS, it seems like they completed my security which takes 10 months and forwarded it to CBSA, now do I have to wait 6 to 10 months more for CBSA to do the security check?

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my Non-EE profile after OINP ISS nomination in August. I got Biometrics and AORon 20 December, Got my Biometrics done on 28 December, My GC key profile does not show any updates under biometric- We do not need your biometrics. We will send a letter if this changes. But the biometrics enrolment date on top right side box, shows the date when I was reenrolled in biometrics= 28 December.
I was also asked to submit some documents which I got the confirmation that they were submitted.

I am not sure what are my next steps, What do I need to do?

My case and your case are same. but in IRCC tacker it is completed. "But the biometrics enrolment date on top right side box, shows the date when I was reenrolled in biometrics= 28 December." this showed the updated date. No need of next steps. just wait and wait for next message.

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to send a request to OINP to issue a new WPSL (mine has already expired since last Dec). I need it for a possible Work Permit while waiting on PR, since my PGWP will be expired this August.

Anyone that had experience in this, could you let me know if this the right email to send it to: ontarionominee@ontario.ca ?

Should I provide any documents along with the content of the request?

Thank you.
Anyone got some insights about this?

Thank you!

Hello, please I need a guide here
I have been waiting for my PR approval for close to 22months now
Info sharing passed, medical passed, now expired, eligibility passed.
Been stuck in security since May 2023
My concern, I am the principal applicant, I'm relocating with my family to another country soon(next month) for another 2 years(Job relocation)
My question is: If I get either another medical request or/and PPR, can we do another medical and later submit our passports in the new country?
or we have to come back to my home country for all that? My fear is, I may not have enough time off form work to do that

Hi everyone,

Please can any one volunteer another phone no. (apart from +1(800) 2676-788) with which I can call IRCC? I am outside Canada.

Thanks in advance,

If I was working for a few months under implied status before I received my PGWP, do I need to declare this in a LOE with the PGWP AOR and study permit associated with it before I submit the PR application? Thanks!

So, my friend has this couple from Brazil who were in Toronto. The guy got a job offer at a famous restaurant, and the restaurant owner applied for an LMIA for him. At first, I was super happy for him, but now I'm a bit worried. Let me break it down:

  1. The restaurant owner said she'd apply for the LMIA but insisted he needed a lawyer.
  2. The owner told him he had to pay for the lawyer and all the immigration fees.
  3. Even though the owner said he had to wait for his work permit (WP), she suggested he could start working immediately without it because she urgently needed help.
  4. The owner pays him $15 per hour, which is less than Ontario's minimum wage.
Here's the sketchy part: When he started looking for a lawyer, the owner said she'd only handle the process if he hired the specific lawyer she recommended. This lawyer charged him $17,000 plus fees for the application. He's paid the money, did the medical part with his family, but he has no access to the online application – all the info is with the lawyer. He's clueless about what's happening.

I suggested they try going to the border for the work permit, so he could be legally working and apply for OHIP, but the lawyer said he couldn't and must wait for it at his address.

Another concern is that there are names on the weekly work schedule who never show up, and my friend wonders if they're real employees.

The lawyer asked for the remaining $5,000, gave him the owner's email to pay directly, and claimed it was part of her fee – $10,000 for the LMIA.

I'm worried this might be fraud, especially because both the owner and the paralegal are from the same country where many students got caught for visa fraud.

They are good and honest people, any advice for this young family?
So, did anyone ever respond to this? So many pages here following that post, I have not read them all, but it looks like no one replied.

Any follow-up to this? You refer to "the sketchy part", but the whole story sounds sketchy. You say the lawyer charged $17k and "He's paid the money", but later you say the lawyer asked for "the remaining $5,000". Is that on top of $17,000 already paid? Or was only $12,000 paid. Did anyone question whether the "lawyer" was a real lawyer?
