@legalfalcon could you please clear up my confusion about the work history, I sent you a message.
Could you please post your message on the forum. On any given day, I receive a few dozen messages. It is very difficult to respond to all of them. Also, when a response is posted on the forum, it benefits others.

Hi @legalfalcon I landed as pr in canada on Oct 17 and provided my address. However it's been 3 months and I haven't received my pr card yet. Is there something I could do to know why it's delayed and when will I get one?
PR cards take anywhere from 60 to 120 days on average.

Did you provide your address at the post of entry or via webform.

You can call IRCC and ask about the status. In some cases, the PR card may have been shipped but not delivered, and in such cases, IRCC will ask you to reapply. However, before you do that, ask about the status by calling or sending a web form.

Hi @legalfalcon

In a case where a minor was falsely framed and charged in India, along with several other minors, and later acquitted by the court; should this be notified to IRCC when applying for PR, even if the PCC says No Adverse information?

Issue is, the individual never knew about these charges, never got a summon, never went to court, was living their life normally, studied abroad, travelled abroad for vacations, worked abroad too.

Everything was fine until they applied for a PCC from their home country. Before all this, the individual applied for passport, visa in multiple countries and lived there, but there was never an issue. This person also got a work permit in Canada, and during filing, they mentioned NO in their application when asked about any Criminal Charges, because they never knew about this case.

Now since they are in Canada, and gathering documents for PR, they found out about this case. Upon requesting a PCC, the police prompted that a case shows up on their system, but they dont know the status. Upon digging, it was found that almost two decades ago, when the minor was still in school, a false case was filed against them and a group of students, which was also acquitted, so there is no pending case.

But now there is another dilemma about what needs to be done, as they have mentioned NO in their Work Permit application form, when asked about being charged in the past. Should they now approach IRCC, and tell them of this new finding? And the other question is, since the PCC is clear, should they answer YES when asked if they were ever charged?

Could you please guide here?
The question on the form is, have you ever been charged? If you were ever charged as a youth or an adult, you would have to inform IRCC and answer yes to the question. You can include a LoE letting them know that the cases resulted in an acquittal and provide a copy of the order or judgment.

Hi @legalfalcon I am a CEC inland applicant and my security is in process since Feb 2023. my medical expiry was updated thrice in 4 months. Is this a sign that the application is progressing?
To know the status you can call IRCc or request your GCMS notes. Anything else is just speculation.

Hi @legalfalcon
I received my AOR on April 18, 2023. In the application status tracker, background verification changed to complete on June 8, 2023. However, on September 28th, it reverted back to in progress. My CIC Account status hasn't been updated since biometrics completion with eligibility in review and background check in process. I sent a webform since it had been 7 months and received this answer on November 27th:

"We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your permanent residence application is still in process.
At this time, all required documents and information have been received by the responsible office.

If an application is complex, it may take IRCC longer to process it. It will also take longer to process it if we need you to submit extra documents.

Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for you and we are making all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible. We will inform you once a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

As of now my application is still in progress. In your opinion is there cause for concern? Should I apply for GCMS notes?
Hi @legalfalcon
I would really appreciate your response on this. I have still yet to get any updates and it's been 9 months since the AOR.

Hi @legalfalcon
Why do I know my application completeness check? Nov 18 but today my application is still start CAN but not change UCI and Bio/med is no update.
Thanks in advance

If a UCI number has not been allocated then your application processing has not started.

For the completeness check, i.e. R10, this is the first step and is usually done within days of application submission. However, if you filed a family sponsorship application, that can take time.

Hello @legalfalcon

My timeline is as following:
FSW Inland + 2 dependents

ITA: 26.10.2022

AOR: 22.12.2022

Request of additional documents 1(Schedule A + CV): 10.03.2013

Reached out my MP: 22.06.2023

Request of additional documents 2(Military records): 17.07.2023

Background check In Progress: 08.08.2023

Medical exam results automatically extended: 07.12.2023

Criminality and Informational: passed

Security(most probably enhanced) - started 08.08.2023

Eligibility Passed: 27.12.2023

Background checks changed to Not Applicable in the GCKey portal. 27.12.2023.

I recently received the GCMS notes and I am trying to figure out what is going on with my Security check as it is the last thing that left.

All info related to security is erased from the notes.

THe weird thing is that I can see 3 entries about Criminality check.

Criminality:1 is erased

Criminality:2 is as following:
Created: 2023/12/22
Updated: 2024/01/05
UCI:
Family Name:
Given Name:
Type: Criminality,
Status: Passed
Validity Date: 2026/01/04
Status Updated Date: 2024/01/05
Due Date: 2024/12/22

Criminality: 3 is as following:
Created: 2022/12/22
Updated: 2023/01/10
UCI:
Family Name:
Given Name:
Type: Criminality,
Status: Passed-Bio
Status Updated Date: 2023/01/10
Due Date: 2023/01/06

My legal representative says that this Criminality:2 can be a sign of the security check being passed, would you happen to have any insights on this kind of entries?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @legalfalcon
At the back of the document the translator certifies the accuracy of her translation, is it ok? I have already submitted the documents and I am a little worried that there is no translator’s stamp on the translation itself, but only on the back of the documents. I have attached both sides of this document. Thanks in advance .

Hey @legalfalcon

I need your help on what to do given my current situation. I currently reside in Ontario and applied to PR through EE Canadian Experience. I received yesterday en PR Portal Confirmation Email from IRCC. They ask me to reply to the email with some info and if I'm currently in Canada or not. I'm currently outside of Canada in vacation with a date of return on Feb 12th. I'm unsure what to reply because they put in the e-mail `Please provide the requested information within 7 calendar days to ensure there are no undue delays.`

Should I reply the e-mail saying I'm not in Canada or should I wait until I get back (in 23 days) to reply that I'm in Canada? If I do the latter, will it delay my PR a lot?

Also what do I put for Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD) ? The first time I entered Canada?

Thank you for your help

Hi @legalfalcon , Would appreciate your help regarding matching NOC. I read that responsibilities should match the lead statement and at least 60-70% of other responsibilities. There are some NOC codes which cover a number of closely related roles like 11202.
How much percentage do you think below highlighted ones represent ? Is it safe to choose 11202 when highlighted ones are someone's duties.
Appreciate your help.

11202 – Professional occupations in advertising, marketing

Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations analyse, develop and implement communication and promotion strategies and information programs, analyse advertising needs and develop appropriate advertising and marketing plans, publicize activities and events, and maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations, and for performers, athletes, writers and other talented individuals.

This group performs some or all of the following duties:

  1. Assess characteristics of products or services to be promoted to determine marketing and advertising needs of an establishment
  2. Advise clients on marketing, advertising or sales promotion opportunities and strategies
  3. Develop strategies and related content for direct and digital marketing and advertising campaigns and implement them
  4. Manage post campaign analysis to measure and report on marketing and advertising metrics
  5. Develop and maintain social media accounts, including managing customer reviews and testimonials
  6. Develop, implement and evaluate public relations strategies and programs designed to inform clients, employees and the general public of initiatives and policies of businesses, governments and other organizations
  7. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups served by their organization
  8. Prepare or oversee preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, Web sites and press releases
  9. Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events and programs for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
  10. Arrange interviews, news conferences and other media events
  11. Act as spokesperson for an organization and answer written and oral inquiries
  12. Coordinate special publicity events and promotions for internal and external audiences
  13. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material
  14. Represent and act as an agent for talented individuals or individuals with specific occupational expertise
  15. Prepare or oversee preparation of sports, literary, performance or other contracts.

I can understand that so here is my problem: I had some tourist visa and student visa applications in the past. There was one work experience that I mentioned in my first tourist visa application that fell between 2012 and 2013 (outside the last 10-year period) and I also had a work visa stamped on my passport for that job. I did not mention that experience in any subsequent applications, the last student visa application was in 2022. Now, I will be submitting my EE profile, I want to know if this will cause any problems or misrepresentation, will I need to mention this work experience in my work, personal or travel history? Secondly, I’m unsure if I mentioned this work experience in my previous EE profiles which have since expired. I never got an ITA and never got any visa approved for Canada. To make it clearer, I did not override that period with any other employment, that period was just left as a gap in the forms. I would appreciate your help in this matter, thank you!

Thank you for your reply. I submit FSW outland not sponsor family. My AOR is 18 Nov 2023 but today My application is still CANxxx and do not change anything. What should I need to do next time if IRCC has not started? I really start to worry that. I hope receiving your feedback. Thanks a lot.

I went to study in USA for my MBA on 2014and finished my course by October 2015 and I was working at rite aid. I met a girl and she used to visit everyday to me and she was coming everyday to see me. We fell in love. Her mom also came with her few times to see me. After a few months of relationship she mentioned we could marry. But I was little nervous and I was worried about different culture. But she said all good and I'm can adjust with your culture and we could even come and stay in india

One day she and her mom invited me to dinner. I was so happy and I went to dinner after dinner she proposed me for marriage and I was so excited.

Next days onwards she started caring me like husband like bring food to my work place

After few days she called me and said we can start living together but she said we need to marry first and that cost almost 1000 dollar and she don't have money for that. I told her we are in relationship and my

Money is your money too. I gave my debit card to her. She went to ATM and took money and gave card back to me. After one week we went to court house to marry and we had some reception for marriage. I told her we need to start living together but she said her mom is sick and she can't leave alone her mom and she started taking money from account for mom hospital expenses. I was working so many over time hours to save money but Same time she started taking money. I rented apartment to stay together but not even ready to move and kept saying excuses. One day I was at work and I swiped my card for lunch at a restaurant but my card declined and I was surprised why my debit card and I called my bank and they said your account dont have monry and you debit card used today morning. I told bank that I did not used it. I called my wife and she did not attend calls. I sent her text and no response. I talked this issue to my store manager and he said why she taking money and mostly us citizens we don't need to pay for health care. Even I don't know that because I was on work visa and I thought everyone has to pay it. I felt I got fooled. I was upset and I went to her home and I was shocked she was dancing and drinking with two other guys. I asked her who is this guys and she said it's none of your problem. Then I told her I'm ur husband and she started laughing and said you are indian dumb not husband stupid. Then I heard a girl calling her mom and I asked her who is this and she shouted at me and said it's my kids and she said you need to go now and two guys shouted at me and said leave now otherwisw you will be in trouble. I literally cried and ran away. I did not go to job for one week and the manager called me and told me to drivirce her she was chetaing you all this time . I sent her text saying you cheated me all this time and you ruined my life and you took my all hard work money. I asked her for divorce and she will sign it if I pay 1000 dollar lawyer fees and she also told me if I reported to anyone my friends will come to you and I know where you lives. I paid her and after few months 2017 she sent email saying divorce completed indian idiot. She also told me never email or text. It's over.

i never talked to her from 2017 and also i never seen her . i left usa permanently 2020

i came to canada . i sent email to usa in 2022 state for future immigration purposes i sent email to philadelphia city asking for my divorce copy and they replied saying nobody filed any divorce on your name or spouse name . i was so shocked and i talked to some family lawyers in toronto and they adviced me to call any lawyers in philadelphia . i sent emails to many lawyers replied saying they can file divorce and he filed divorce and finally judge signed divorce decree 2023 september and divirce finized

even my previous study , work , visitor visa applications they were asking previous spiuse details which mentioned start 2016 and end 2017 based informarion i received from ex wife . i have attacehd screenshot of that

even though she provided wrong info saying divirce is completed in 2017

our relationship already ended in 2017 and i never seen or talk to ex wife from 2017 . The last email was in 2017 saying divorce completed .

she mentioned in 2017 divorce completed

i went to my country and married in another woman in 2018 and we have 2 years old baby also . i came to study canada 2022 and my current wife and baby got work permit and visitor visa . i applied for pnp nomination together and there is no start date and end date on pnp application . so i simply upload divorce decree dated 2023 and current marriage certificate dated 2018

but on ircc application they asking start and date and end date of previous spouse

my question will be can i put same 2016 to 2017 previous marriage details on new PR application and attached divorce decree dated 2023 with cover letter saying this was happend.
