My family, consisting of my brother, sister-in-law, and parents, all over the age of 18, is applying for a TRV as a group through the new IRCC portal.

My brother completed his form and at the end, the system required all supporting documents except for the Proof of Funds documents, but for my sister-in-law her application DID require for proof of funds.

I checked all the info they provided in their forms and is all the same, as they are married, live in the same place in Colombia and everything. The only difference is that my brother holds a US nonimmigrant visa and my sister-in-law does't.

Any thoughts on why this happens? Is this an issue from the system? Or is it because he has a US visa?

In any case, my brother is planning to add his financial info as 'Additional Info'.
Thank you for your support!

Your brother and spouse are separate applications/accounts, and your parents apply separately. They cannot apply as a group, and it will not be processed.

Your sister-in-law can be asked for proof of funds since brother has a US visa and is eligible for CAN+ processing. Add funds under addional information. Your parents in their own application provide their own bank statements.

Thank you, Natugrl for your help. Just to confirm: my brother and his wife can apply through the same group, just two different applications?
My parents will have to create a sepparate account and apply as a group as well from there, or as well two different accounts?

Thank you, Natugrl, for your assistance. Just to confirm, can my brother and his wife apply through the same group, but with two separate applications? Also, will my parents have to create a separate account and apply as a group, or should they apply with two different accounts?

Your brother and spouse are one account, two applications. Same for parents.

Do I have to apply separately for my family members?
Family members must complete their own application forms. However, you may submit your applications together online or at a Visa Application Centre (VAC) and use one payment receipt for the total amount.

Your spouse or common-law partner and children must meet all of the requirements for temporary residence in Canada.
