Valid Tourist Visa- OCI under process

Hello

I am a Canadian Citizen with a Valid tourist visa until Dec/8/2023. My OCI is under process.
My ticket is booked for Nov. 19/2023.
My question is, Can I travel to India on tourist visa and have my OCI mailed India and come back using OCI??
Or have my OCI mailed out to me
In India and Leave India before my tourist visa expires and go Nepal and re-enter using OCI ??

planing on staying for more than 4 month and expecting my OCI around Nov end orDec first week

Just sharing my thought.. others can chime in
You might be able to travel but you will have to keep a onwards or return ticket for Dec 7

Best scenario would be that you postpone your travel till oci comes in and then you can travel without having to exit to Nepal or any other place.

So, I had my OCI brought to India by a friend and went to Malaysia for a country out before my visa expired. I only showed my passport to the Immigration officer but he asked to see my OCI as well, didn’t said anything and let me go.
Coming back no issues as well. I hope this will help someone
