Transgender person seeking refugee

Hi im living in Turkey and im transgender, i want to go through transition but my family and relatives are so against it and if i were to tell them im scared that they would try to kill me.
Also im 19 and men are forced to serve in military at the age of 20 and as a transgender i don't want to go through that
Im starting to collage this month because its the only way that you can delay going to military until you finish collage.
I don't want te be a part of this country's military and serve for them

Also i researched a little bit and i saw that in case of like fear of assault as a LGBTQ person you need to prove the threat but how could i do it? If i ever come out as trans my family relatives could try to kill me or beat me brutally, so what do i do?

Also we don't have insurance for transgender surgeries, and i cant afford it on my own/can barely afford it if i save everything i earn without spending a single penny for 10~20 years, and they don't offer loan for this type of surgery.

Are you a refugee in Turkey? If not, you need a TRV to claim asylum in Canada. You show funds, travel hisTory, ties to home country.

Well the only way to claim asylum in Canada is to get an approved TRV. You need to show your own bank accounts (cash) to travel and show you can afford to visit Canada. Given you have no travel history, are young with no ties then consider studying in Canada.

Agree that you need to see if you can secure a TRV. Without one it will be very difficult to come to Canada at least in the near future.

Contact UNHCR or your country's organizations that can help. You may want to have proof as much proof as you can (voice record, news that killing/assaulting TGs in Turkiye, UN report, US human rights report etc., but organizations will help you.) I don't know well but you may not need a TRV, or passport if the bigger organization helps you.

Since everyone is in a different situation, I don't understand showing funds or TRV as well. But still, it may be helpful if you have information about your relationship with your country and family. IDs, pictures of you and maybe family, education, if you received documents related to military service, personal experiences as a trans person, medical documents. But the most important is connected with organizations, as I said. Maybe you can get help from queer organizations too. Good Luck.

What you are suggesting is that OP flee to another country and register as a refugee with UNHCR. This can only be of assistance if he leaves Turkiye. Then UNHCR decides where a person is settled, and it will take years and may not be Canada. OP can go to Sweden or Norway (or any European country), and claim asylum if he has proof of persecution like you described.

Yeah, you know right. You can use "they/them" not to assume in English. It's different from my mother language too.

The majority of refugees registered with UNHCR are not resettled and remain in whatever country they are currently located in. Given the volume of asylum claimants entering counties and applying for asylum most countries are not accepting or accepting very few referrals from UNHCR for resettlement. Would suggest contacting an organization that supports LGBTQIA+ people in Turkey. If you are able to travel to country where you feel safe you can also claim asylum there but as a young person without travel history or much money it will be very difficult to get to other countries. Would also search for organizations that help LGBTQIA+ individuals across the world.
