Would really appreciate some insight on my earlier post. Is there anything else the IRCC needs as proof of our marriage besides the wedding certificate, chats and photos, especially when you live in a different country as your spouse and don't have any shared bank accounts/lease? Its been more than a week since I sent additional proof of my relationship and I haven't heard back. I am getting more anxious by the day...
Hi,
Here is the long list of things (in a random order) that I submitted as a proof of marriage and it worked for us! Read here "you" as "either parties".
1. any postal receipts you have as a proof that you sent letters/items to each other
2. Any proof of employer benefits where your spouse is entitled to, and you have already made the arrangement for it, so that at least your spouse name is on the document, e.g., employer health benefits, life insurance, etc.
3. Name of your spouse on the property purchase documents in Canada if your spouse owns a home/condo
4. Air tickets and boarding passes for visits to home country or any other trip made together (essential)
5. Any proof of money transfer made to each other
6. Some letters from your family members, friends, colleagues, who know you and/or who attended your wedding celebration
7. Of course the mandatory at least 20 photos and their descriptions showing different wedding arrangements, rituals, honeymoon, outings, etc. (essential)
8. Wedding invitation cards
9. Any facebook and social media relationship status, posts, events, etc. that are public (essential)
10. Of course fb, whatsapp etc. chat record (essential)
11. Entry exit stamps in passport as a proof of your spouse visit (essential)
12. Any other proofs that can show spousal relationship
13. An explanation letter if some essential items are missing as a proof

N.B. It may take days or weeks for IRCC to respond to your new materials sent, because once they find an issue on your file, they just leave it aside and work on other files, but eventually will come back to your one.

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing well.

Have a query regarding spousal PR application. I am applying for my wife and my son PR where am unemployed since last 2 years. Is it mandatory to show T4 or minimum income in the application?

Thanks in advance for reading and sharing the information.
As per my understanding, without a minimum income stated on the IRCC guideline https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5482-instruction-fill-financial-evaluation-form-1283.html#tb-1 from any sources for 3 persons, how can you prove that you can financially support your spouse and kid? Note the provincial or federal social assistance is allowed if it covers minimum income level based on the Table 1 - Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Thus, with the social assistance or other sources of income, you will need to show at least $42,110 as the threshold for 3 members. Otherwise, you will not likely get the Sponsor Approval (SA).

Thank you so much for the detailed list. I completely forgot about postal receipts. I have amazon receipts of gifts he sent me for my Bday when we were dating Long distance with both our names and addresses.. Anyway, Ill check with my lawyer if she can send them via webform.

ANYONE??? Seems most of the posts here now are going off topic and various suggestions for the IRCC, which won't help the applicants and sponsors!
After I found that not many people were interested to respond my previous messages, I really started to believe and found that people in this particular forum for Feb 2023 applicants are not very helpful in replying questiones from other fellows. Rather they raise out of box questions and concerns, that are not helpful for people so much! Then, I suddenly found, my file moved faster than ever.
Nevertheless, following is my timeline, if this helps others:
File submission Feb 10th 2023
First AOR
and BIL on May 11th (after 3 months of silence)
2nd AOR on June 29th (file transferred to Singapore)
Medical Request: August 1st
Medical
Passed on August 7th
Pre-arrival
: August 18th
PPR
: August 22nd
Exactly 6 months and 12 days from initial submission!

Hi,

@legalfalcon

I applied for Spousal sponsorship (Outland) on February 16, 2023 and still it shows Background "In Progress" since April. Eligibility was Completed on 14 July 2023 and we received the pre-arrival services on 15 July 2023. But still BG is In progress - not sure what's going on! GCKey states;
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Anyone facing the same issue? What should be my next steps? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Why do you have anxiety? Haven't you heard "No news is good news". Would you rather prefer that you keep getting messages from CIC like - sorry, can you pls do biometrics again...sorry can you pls do medical again...we have already got it from previous file, but we are doing this just to keep you engaged and feel comfortable - that we are working on your file....

Unless you have stated something wrong or discovered some mistake - even in that case, no point of anxiety, but instead send a webform pointing out the correction. So chill and relax.

Look at it positively - there are ppl in your group who have got PPRs this month. So hopefully, you might get PPR next month. stay positive.
And if you are still anxious, then ask your sponsor to request GCMS notes.

6months eh?? thats pretty good and should be encouraging for the February 2023 group.
But i couldn't find the connection between - slow response of ppl in this group, finding a more responsive group on facebook and then your file moving faster.
