exactly the same for me too....
I'm hoping that it gets done before the "18 months" that they have as processing time... but I'm pretty sure it's going to go over that :(
RC-8090 is cursed.
I have a similar timeframe to a couple others with the Sydney office - applied online in May 2022 - there was a glitch so my AOR wasn’t issued until June 10. Background got completed November 2022 and LPP all in progress. Only ghost update was Match 2 but same info was showing as previous year. I had got a reply to a webform I submitted as asked if my new address to the file had been updated as didn’t get a confirmation. Have ordered 2 sets of ATIP notes and there was no progress - except on 2nd one with a note about my address. Will be Christmas before I can ask what happened to the processing. I don’t understand as I’ve had 2 PR renewals, same job and same address for 8 years, and it saddens me to see people who applied this year sailing through and applying for passports already. I’ve missed job opportunities as I’m not a citizen.

Received another set of ATIP notes. No change. It's been 6 months since I passed test.

I propose we all send a letter to Minister Marc Miller complaining about the delay of the Sydney office. If his office receives multiple letters about the same issue, they're bound to look into it.

I was exactly gonna comment the same lol. I sent his office an email too yesterday. Let's all collectively send an email to him since web forms are useless. Please also cc minister@cic.gc.ca (this is for immigration issues concerning policies). Marc Miller's office may or may not respond as they will only support people of his constituency.

Fyi here's what a part of my email to Marc Miller mentioned -

"Biggest Concern: I have observed a disparity in processing times, with applications from February to October 2022 still awaiting processing, whereas those from this year have already received oath ceremony dates. This trend seems particularly prominent for those whose applications are at the RC-8090 office in Sydney, NS. I recently came across a CBC article highlighting concerns about inactive immigration officers impacting processing timelines (article link: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ircc-immigration-officer-container-placeholder-code-inactive-list-1.6669571).

Despite multiple inquiries via web forms and efforts involving my local MP, I have not received any acknowledgment or assistance concerning this.

I kindly request your intervention on this. It's not fair that applications are not processed on a first come first serve basis. I just want to make sure that my application is not in a limbo with no one there to attend to it."

Congrats!! Looks like your timeline is a bit later than mine, but almost the same! Hopefully they're at least checking mine now...

Thank you for sharing this. I just emailed a similar note to the emails provided above for Mark Miller.

I don't think we know the reason, but many of us are in the same situation.... I'm also like that.

My LPP has been completed since June 23 but no it's invitation yet. All my assessments were assigned to RC 8090 but my file says E- Grant citizenship ready and officer notes below also say "citizenship granted".

It's been almost 2 months since LPP was completed. Does this infamous 8090 haunt you after LPP completion too?

I've heard that it can take 2 months, so your might be coming soon...

Also, your AOR is January 2023... Many people here are from April 2022 or before.
I did the test before you even applied, and nothing happened since then.
For the sake of us, please wish that ours get done before yours.
Hopefully soon, everyone will be a citizen.

Sorry to hear that. What is your VO?
I would not want my application to be processed at the expense of others. Lets just hope we all get there soon enough :)
