Spousal sponsorship

I submitted my spousal application on March 10. I still didn't receive pre arrival letter. my medical exam passed 1.5 months ago. What do I do? Most people who applied at March beginning already receive pre arrival. Some receive PPR already. Could someone advice?
"Most" have received pre-arrival already? How many do you know to come up with that generalization? And "some" PPR already. In about 120 posts you have not mentioned the PA's country and you can keep that secret but, all I will say is in reading on this forum every day I don't think I have come across even one applicant from any country who applied in March and has received PPR. Please point to any on this forum where that is the case, because it would be a bit surprising.

The posted processing time on the IRCC site for outland spousal applications is 13 months. Until you hit 13 months, you're within the range. What "advice" do you think anyone here can give?

I am returning to edit this post, having seen what @armoured just wrote with an admirable economy of language I failed to display. But, more bluntly, at only 5 months, just chill.

Ohh!! Pre arrival services is just the starting? I thought the next step would be Copr!
Pre-arrival is early in the process.

Pre-arrival is early in the process.
I agree with you, but:

I wouldn't say it's necessarily early in the process - for some, the decision made and PPR can come relatively soon after.

The problem is it's not reliably 'late' in the process - it is not at all a reliable indicator of how far along the application is. It seems to vary all the time.

It's neither early nor late nor in-between. It's just indeterminate.

It's something. It's better than nothing. But jumping up and down that pre-arrival services has arrived and that means ... something ... doesn't seem to be true.

What is true: the pre-arrival services letter, in the text, invites the applicant to make use of resources for newcomers and likely-to-be-newcomers to help them arrive and settle in Canada.

THAT is what pre-arrival services means. That is more or less all that it reliably communicates or signals.

To know what pre-arrival services means: read the letter. Just the text.

Hi peep, My girl friend and I are planning to engage in a month or two, we got the marriage license from City, I wonder if we can start the process or we should wait till we have the certificate? she is on study permit and we are applying in-land.
another question is, after we apply for the spousal sponsorship, can she leave the country for travel purposes? or her study permit will be void when we apply? her study permit is multiple entry and is valid for one year(apx) thanks a lot.

Must wait for the marriage certificate. Note, at least in Ontario, you may get a doc signed by the officiant and witnesses at the ceremony, that is also not the certificate - wait for the official certificate from province.

Hello, I heard folks talking about IMM 5536 - Authorization to Disclose Information they uploaded it in the "other" section, and the application got returned and some said you need to scan, sign and upload it online (no digital sign here), I'm totally confused, what it is the correct way? could anybody lend me help? My application once returned, and I don't want it to be returned again! Thank you!

My husband's background check started in April as well and it still hasn't been completed along with his eligibility. We applied in November 2022. I think a lot of people are still waiting. What is your visa office?
