Never head off a maple card. Just read the NEXUS requirements.
That's the nickname of the VERY old PR card.
It's a term that I haven't heard for at least 10 if not 20 years! LOL
So what is your status in Canada? Are you still a PR? Have your PR been renounced or revoked?
Do you still meet your RO?
If your PR get revoked, are you from a visa exempt country (to enter Canada).
From the link, have you been a US PR (green card) for at least 3 years?
my Canadian PR card expired and I didn't meet the residency test for renew (not yet renounced)
BUT I have US PR and I do meet all the requirement on US side
So you "can" apply. But will you be grant a Nexus card is unknown. And it looks like green card holders can travel to Canada without eTA or TRV. So you may get Nexus card. (It's up to CBSA and CBP to assess you.)
Applying will likely drive attention to you not meeting RO and may result in revoking of your Canadian PR.
You can certainly apply for Nexus. I'm not sure what will happen once you go through the Canadian interview. This could result in your PR status being officially revoked (or it may not). However be prepared for that possibility.
