Following is the email content that I sent,

Hi,

I submitted an application for an OINP nomination after receiving a Notification of Interest based on the "XXXXX" stream. My file number is “XXXX-XXXXXXXX”. However, just a couple of days after submitting the application and while the application was still in the "Submitted" stage, I decided to withdraw my application.

Based on the OINP website, I will be refunded the application fee if the application hasn't started being processed. Can you please let me know how much time it will take for the refund to be processed?

Your help in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

Best regards

According to the OINP website, it usually takes 5-6 business days for a refund to be processed after an application is withdrawn. However, it may take longer if there are any delays or complications.
In your case, since your application was still in the "Submitted" stage when you withdrew it, it is likely that the refund process will be relatively quick. You should receive a confirmation email from the OINP once the refund has been processed.

It wasn't quick at all (22 days for me) but I did receive the refund at the end

No, I believe you can get a refund only before they start assessment.

Did you get a refund?in how many days?
Hello, yes, they made the refund. It happened that my bank has blocked the money... I emailed OINP several times until they sent me the information I needed to prove to my bank the amount of money and the date they refunded it. OINP made the refund in two working days... but got it credited in my account after 2 months .
Hope that helps!

Hi there, I am wanting to withdraw my OINP profile (it is at SUBMITTED stage). I had the application fee via a credit card and I would like to know what would be the refund process? Hi there, I would be highly obliged if someone could assist/guide me here.

Hello, you have to withdraw your application using the button inside the OINP application website. If you don't have any problems with your bank, the money should be credited in your credit card as soon as they process the refund. They say it might take 5 business days. In my case, I used my debit card and my bank asked me for proof that my money has been returned from OINP. After 2 months, I had my money back, but I had to send several mails to OINP asking for information regarding date, time, amount, etc. Good luck!

Thanks for your prompt response. I know from where to withdraw my profile. My intention was to ask if I should withdraw first and then raise webform/send a mail for refund? Or do I proceed vice-versa?
Assuming I successfully withdraw my application n refund is initiated, would I have to keep following up with OINP for refund details? Would they even be responding? (I did a raise a webform yesterday for my refund query, I still have neither received an acknowledgement of the webform nor an email for the same).

Hi! I would recommend you to withdraw your application and not to wait a response from OINP. If the status changes (I mean, if it's not submitted), you won't receive any refund. In my case, I withdrew first and then sent an email to OINP to let them know I had withdrew my application. After that, I sent an email once a week until they told me they had made the refund two days after I withdrew my application. The problem was that my bank didn't credited in my account. And the bank asked me for proof in order to credit my money. That was my experience, it could be different for you. My suggestion is to withdraw your application and send follow up emails to OINP. Best regards.
