Where is the applicant coming from? Did you check at the time how long is the processing time for trv?
As of today, 737 days. Applicant in Nigeria.
I have already lost hope for that particular application. It must have been dumped somewhere.
So not sure if I applying for another will still lead to same thing

Wow that is sad.. 2 years processing just for trv.. did they update the new processing time now after the announcement? Like for Philippines when I applied it was 28, 31 and now 39 days.

Spousal sponsorship applications don’t require a work permit, they anyways get to work full time once their PR is approved.

Just apply for a SIN, when PR process is done.

I believe you do if you want to be in Canada for more than six month. PR app might take longer.

Hello,

I am applying for TRV for my wife, she's a full time student in a university and has no work experience. In the seciton "Work history" what do I put? If I don't add anything, the button "Save and continue" is grayed out. I cannot proceed. What should I do?

Thank you

Exactly 1 week (7 business days) passed, still nothing from both applications, (TRV & spousal sponsorship application, which I got pre-arrival email 2 months ago) ☹

Hey guys can anyone tell after showing the visa number in the visitor visa portal do i have to wait for the passport request letter? And how long it will take? Also for spousal visit visa under the new policy do i have to get the one way ticket or return? As in regular trv we need return ticket please guide.

Yes, you'll need passport request. Don't know how long.

My own view is you likely don't need the return ticket - just say you're going to buy one on the internet later. Or you have plans to travel elsewhere. I think it's gotten much less important than it was in the past, and this is exaggerated.

But I can't state this as fact. Some here claim the airlines are picky, and that basically nothing has changed in 20 years. Not my experience, but I can't tell your for a fact.

Deep breath. Almost nothing at IRCC takes less than 24 hours. A few days to a few weeks is perfectly normal.
yea true, I guess ill just have to buy a more expensive ticket the closer the date is

Curious if anyone has their 'progress bar' working in the portal? seems to be disabled for some
