I’m with scr office too exaclty everything was fast in the beginning but nothing since March for me after test
I’m extremely sad
Sad why?? You have not even completed 6 months mark since applied. There are applicants waiting late 2021 and early 2022.
Let the offices focus on those applicants instead of applications applied late 2022.
Processing time is 21 months.

I agree with manmoi31. I used to be in a outland spousal sponsorship forum and it was full of angst but understandably since people were waiting to be reunited with their partner.

This forum has a lot of angst too which is odd cause all people have to do is wait it out and go with the flow. I understand that some people desperately need a Canadian passport cause of certain job offers or people like me who wants it asap because they travel a lot and wants a visa-free travel.

Goodluck to people who are still waiting but what is your urgency. Assuming all of you have a PR yall have the same rights as a citizen minus ability to vote and apply for gov. jobs. Please don’t come for me I’m just trying to spread positivity LOL

Stop spreading misinformation buddy no one is waiting from 2021. No one asked you to say anything so it would’ve been better to just shut up maybe ? Don’t you think ?

I’m at a bit of a loss. I know everyone is in the same boat and a lot of people are waiting longer so before anyone jumps on me - I get it. But after applying on December 22nd, receiving my AOR Jan 3rd. FP request and test early Feb which were both completed end of Feb in the tracker. I’d convinced myself I was going to be one of the lucky ones because it was moving so fast. Since that it’s been silence and no update since the end of Feb. 3 months and no LPP. I’m seeing people’s cases flying along and I’m just so surprised by how random it all seems. I’m seeing people who applied in Feb and March getting oath dates already. There’s just absolutely no rhyme or reason to it and it’s so depressing checking the portal daily to see nothing.
did you take the test outside Canada or left Canada after giving exam? Not saying that it can impact processing time, just trying to understand myself because I am stuck in the same situation. The only difference is after taking exam from Canada I have started traveling outside Canada for 4 days every week for work.

Isn't it just great hearing from people to "just chill" after their own applications have been fully processed (like this guy)?

PSA: For folks who need to spread bad vibes or be sanctimonious on how to behave, why don't you take it and put it where the sun don't shine? People are here to find company while they wait and help one another...not to be told to be grateful that their applications are moving faster than some others. Thanks for the effing news flash, buddy - WHO KNEW? Hahaha

I’m not applying for citizenship for nothing just to have a passport on display I need it for my clearance and also visit to US both job related .

No to both questions. I’ve also been a permanent resident for over a decade and have probably spent a total of 4 weeks outside of the country in that whole time. The physical presence shouldn’t take them much time at all!

There is no need to be rude about this. It’s not misinformation, its true and factual there are majority of applicants waiting from late 2021 and early 2022.
The process is not transparent it should FIFO not LIFO. I am extremely happy about everyone regarding their process including yours. All I meant not to be sad, there are other applicants waiting as well.

I hope the best for you and it will be quicker process for you and god blessed :)

Here's some fact for you. If you had bothered to use the search function on the forum and typed in "48 months" it would have been the top one result. Check the date on when it was posted.

If you need Canadian citizenship for job related purposes, you can claim you fear losing your Canadian job due to not having it and qualify for urgent processing. I have helped several candidates successfully apply for UP this way.

For people with genuine reasons for urgent processing of Canadian citizenship, IRCC provides a pathway for expedite.
