Hi everyone
I am refugee claimant in Canada and I don’t have national identity and passport since IRRC seized them. How can I get marry with someone from my home country? If I get my refugee status can get my identity back? He applied for visitor visa and got rejected also. Please help me about this issue. Thanks

Where do you plan to get married? Since your partner cannot come to Canada and you cannot travel to your home country, then I assume you both plan to travel and get married in a third country.

You will need to wait until you have been accepted as a refugee after your hearing. Once you are accepted as a refugee, you will be able to apply for a Refugee Travel Document and travel outside of Canada to get married. Just make sure you don't go to your home country.

You will not be able to get your passport back until you have PR.

Depends where you are getting married (what country). Which country do you plan to get married in knowing you cannot get married in Canada or your home country?

I m from Turkey and I didn’t plan yet which country I will get marry but probably it will be any country that doesn’t want visa for Turkish people

Once you determine which country you will marry in, you will then need to research the requirements for getting married in that country, including ID requirements.

But you will need travel document to travel to a third country to get married, since you are refugee claimant that, you should have positive NOD to apply for travel document.

You need to find country that accepts Refugee Travel Document. (not your Turkish passport)
Then once you know which country, find out what is the ID requirement for getting married.
