Police Check - What to expect

I have recently decided to apply for my PR and have just submitted for my UK police check certificate. The process asks whether I have been arrested, cautioned or convicted.
This question bought back some horrible memories as I remember being arrested and caution at the age of 18 or 19 because I had a bat in my car. It was deemed offensive and illegal.
I was innocent and scared to my wit's so took the caution and more so a lesson so that I'm more careful in the future.
Now I'm wondering whether that will show on my record, and whether it will affect my PR application. Has anyone had similar experiences?

It appears that you have answered your own question.

You must disclose this in your PR application, even if it does not appear on your UK PCC, otherwise it could be deemed to be misrepresentation, which IRCC does not look upon favorably.

Depends upon the outcome of your PCC. Was there court proceedings? Did you got any paperwork from court?

I did not go to court, I was just cautioned at the police station and sent home. I did get to sit in a prison cell and that was bad enough..

How long ago it was? As I know the cautions remain there on your record for 5 years.

So you have applied the PCC now. So I believe it won't be there on the PCC, but lets see. Let me know how it goes.

Doesn't matter, because the OP stated that they were arrested. The question, that was referenced, asks if the person was ever arrested, cautioned or convicted.

Lets see. I think it would be fine until and unless not arrested. Caution means warning, taken pictures and fingerprints are normal procedure. Until and unless no charges are filed its totally fine. Hope the cop who dealt with it not filed charges and it was merely a caution. Let me know how it goes.

Please, please stop being rude, I didn't talked to you down. One of my friend had a similar thing so speaking from experience. Every country had different rules. In UK cautions gets dropped if no charge is filed after 5 years from a person's file.

Again...that doesn't change the fact that the OP was arrested, correct?

The arrest, in and of itself, needs to be disclosed if any question in the PR application asks if the applicant has ever been arrested. The PCC is moot in terms of truthfully answering that question.

IRCC likely does not care how the UK treats things like this. The fundamental issue is that the OP was arrested and if asked, needs to answer truthfully.

I think you need to read my comment above, I wrote that it happened with one of my friend so saying with experience. Thats end from my side.
