Dependant Child (Family Sponsorship Application)

Hello Everyone ❤
I am an applicant in a dependant child Family sponsorship application. We applied from Egypt. IRCC started working on my application on
27/4/ 2021 .
I did the Biometrics and the Immigration Medical exam long time ago until the medical results expired after passing 1 year but they extended it to expire next September 2023 and I didn’t receive any reply about the Pre - arrival letter or PPR e-mail .
I sent many webforms and they replied with an automated message and I requested my GCMS notes .
My Eligibility status is still “In progress” and the Background verification is “Not started yet” I don’t know why it didnt start.. ,so does anybody know why is so much delay processing the file ? When do you expect me getting the pre- arrival letter?
I’ve been waiting for almost 20 months till now . I hope I travel to Canada soon to reunite with my family.

How old are you? Ask family members to contact their local MP in Canada, and ask for status update.

I’m 17 , my father is the sponsor person . Does the local MP helps with details or it’s not important?

An MP can find out the status of your file. Assume your father is in Canada.

Does contacting the MP will make a difference in the status of my application ??

Ask your father to call his MP, and the MP should reply. All the MP can do is find out the hold up/status.

Possibly. You have waited a long time so only option. Is your father in Canada?

Not dramatically usually but sometimes they get further information. Hit or miss. How did your father get PR and were you listed as non-accompanying on their PR application?
