I need guidance regarding PCC, I came to Lahore for my Dentistry studies and living in hostels since 2014, but my permanent address is mentioned in CINC and my passport is the same as my hometown that is Vehari, which is in the same province I.e Punjab. Do I need a single PCC from Vehari or do I have to make PCC from Lahore too?
Kindly someone guides me with this.

Hi Fasih,

You need to make PCC for every location you studied/worked. It should be aligned with your address history which should be ultimately aligned with your study/work histories. So all link together.

Good thing is, in Punjab, you can visit any city's police khidmat markaz and get PCCs for any punjab city(ies). Hope it helps

No.

I mean, this is one way to do it, but it's extremely tedious and inefficient and quite a big headache for a lot of people to go through.

Read my earlier posts in this thread explaining how the FIRs in Pakistan are linked to your NIC and the address linked to it.

You can just have 1 PCC made for your permanent address. You just need to mention that one address in your address history as well. I did that myself, I was from Karachi but did my undergrad and MBA from Lahore (total of six years), just mentioned my permanent address in the address history and the PCC, and no issues. Also a number of other people did the same, and they were totally fine.

No idea about this, but for sure if this works, it's much less hassle. I provided ISB PCC [I studied and worked there], and FSD PCC [home city] (bad thing is, you have to travel ISB for its PCC and I did it twice because they asked again after massive covid delays). I was approved last year.

Disclaimer: I am not an immigration consultant and any comment here is just my opinion.

Hello, I'm living outside Pakistan since October 2018. Now I need PCC from Pakistan which covers my 6 years out of 10 years. I have 2 addresses on my CNIC one is current and other is permanent both are in Rawalpindi. After going through all the replies and suggestions, I came to this:
I'll get PCC which will cover both addresses one from since birth to the day I moved to another house (both are in RWP) and from that current address to TILL DATE or should I stick to the day I left Pakistan which is October 2018?
I did visit Karachi couple of times in the last year though. I believe if I don't mention it I'll not need one from Karachi. But to cover my visits should I make my current address PCC to till date?

If your permanent address throughout your time from age 18 to current age has been the same, then just mention that one address in your profile and get a PCC made for that. For police purposes in Pakistan, it's the permanent address that matters.

You should get the PCC made till current date. If you get it till 2018, it won't even cover your Karachi visits. So yes, the PCC should be till current date.

Thank you so much for clarifying.

Actually I do need to mention current address as I no longer live at my permanent address that's the reason why I need to show Stay period from birth till move out date at permanent address and for current address I'll get it made from move in date to Till date. (permanent address is still on my CNIC though)
Other reason for showing current address is because my wife (after marriage) moved to my current address as shown in marriage certificate and our CNICs.. so to match with marriage certificate I need to show current address. (will get hers from birth to date of our marriage from Karachi too as that's where she has lived before marriage)
I'll make mine and hers Rawalpindi PCC to show current address to TILL DATE just as you said which covers my recent visits. Just my PCC will have 2 addresses from Rawalpindi.. Do you think this will be fine?

You're welcome.

Yes, I think that will be fine as well.

The other (and easier) way IMO would be that you just get 1 PCC made for your permanent address. Get the wife's two PCCs. One for Karachi address and second for your permanent pindi address. I am assuming here that the permanent address on your wife's NIC is the same as your permanent address and that the permanent address on your NIC has always been the same (if this is not the case then what you suggest would work fine and what I have suggested would need to be different).

When I had my PCC made back in 2018 I was informed that for purposes of FIR it is the NIC number and the permanent address that is used. The FIR is linked to the NIC number and also sent to the police station listed as your permanent address. Which is why it is always the permanent address that is important.

Hmmm.. I understand your point, but then just showing permanent address on the PCC wouldn't be a mismatch with marriage certificate?

Okay so lastly.. The end date on the PCC overlaps with my current country of residence PCC. is it fine? or is it a misrepresentation since it shows we are living in 2 countries at the same time? or do I need to submit a LOE? if so how should I approach this.

My marriage certificate had my permanent address, so I was lucky in that respect. And also had wife's pre marriage address. Although I don't think the address on marriage certificate really matters because for police purposes, it's actually the permanent address that matters. As long as you mention only the permanent address in the address history, that is the only PCC that will be required from you.

Overlapping dates is perfectly fine. My wife was a resident of a GCC country at the time of our marriage and so that period shows overlapping periods for her. We just mentioned it in the LOE and it turned out just fine.

Alright. so my PCC from Pakistan is being made till date which is Feb 12th and my current country pcc will also cover this period so it is totally fine?
and I can explain this in LOE that this period overlaps with my current country because the PAKISTAN PCC they put the application date to end date of stay. And I can mention our actual last exit dates from Pakistan as per our passport exit stamps right? which would be January 15th. That will clear the overlaps?
