No. You can visit as a tourist. You need to show your own funds, travel history and ties to home country (job offer with letter, spouse/children staying behind, business, investment properties).

You want to apply well AHEAD of the wedding date to get the visa . Just putting in the date of the wedding wont push your application to the front of the que. The date is irrelevant in the whole scheme of things.
