Hi everyone,

I have been following this forum silently but felt I should give my one cent advise on whether to reapply and which portal to use.

1. My advise is reapply if your application was before the 21st of Sept 2021 as suggested by IRCC

2. Reapply if you applied initially for a TRV and now prefer a Super Visa.

3. If you reapply your multiple applications will be merged and processing will
continue on only one of the application. You may not get a refund depending.

4. Re applying from my experience did not speed up the process.

5. Use the portal
you are most comfortable with. GC key or IRCC processing is the same. There are other factors that is looked into and that is why some people get faster visas eg Valid US Visa at time of application.

I hate to download forms to fill and also dislike the sign in glitch with GC key. For these reasons I prefer the IRCC, one limitation with IRCC is you have to modify your files to fit in with the size limits.

5. GCMS notes does not speed up processing time. Request GCMS note if you are looking into a specific question eg in the case of refusal.

6. Sending multiple webforms will not change the processing time.

I am not an IRCC expert, My advise is from my own personal experience and what I have learnt on this forum. So you are free to take it with a pinch of salt.

Anyone feel free to add or correct me. Thank you.
