Very similar timeline here! FSW-O AOR Nov 11, 2020. Last update was re-meds passed last June 28th 2022, nothing after that. ATIP request last July, no response. Reached out to our MP, and received the following notes:
  • Security verification: not started
  • Assessment of criminality: not started
  • All requested documents have been received properly
  • Other Comments: IRCC confirmed that there is no new updates after June 28. Currently the average processing time for EE workers is 26 months, thus IRCC will have until Jan 11, 2023 to process your application.
Seems like we'll need to sit tight until January 2023...
If I were you, I would send them updated PCC's and updated POF. Since your file is old, these documents may help revisit your file. Also, while sending these via webform, you can let them know that you are very eager to move to Canada as soon as possible and that you are sending these documents since the file is old. If you are an inland applicant, completely ignore my advice.

It just doesn’t seem fair that new applications are being processed in just 3-4 months and we have been waiting for years now.

Hi guys,
I’ve received my PPR on august 4th, I’ve submitted my passports at the VFS Center the same day.
I’ve received today a second PPR ! is it just a glitch in the system due to yesterday maintenance ?
I’ve sent an email to my VO to say that they have my passports since august 4th.

no update on my cic account btw !!

Any thoughts please ? Has it ever happened to anyone here before ?
Hello, from which country did you submit your passport? In how many days did you get it back?

Thanks to everyone here in this forum for all the support.
My friend has a similar timeline just PPR got on 19 Aug and COPR on 1-Sept.

I have one question does Birth Place in COPR has 12 character limit? Like if someone has Birth Place Hyderabad, Telengana then only "Hyderabad,T " is printed on COPR?

Hi,
AOR: 6 Nov 2020
I got married on December 2021 and informed IRCC about this. Then I received a letter to upload documents of spouse with her medical in the portal on April 2022.

My spouse’s UCI also appeared in my CIC portal in that time. I have also done upfront medical for myself and attached this with those required documents, but medical result has not appeared/passed yet in my profile.

Since April, neither have I heard anything from IRCC nor have I received any acknowledgment receipt email of those documents I’ve sent. My wife still didn’t receive any BIL (Biometric Instruction Letter) request as well.

Is it a normal situation that they didn’t even touch my application or something wrong? I raised several webforms but received generic replies. I will highly appreciate your reply in the above queries.

Best Regards

It can take 2-3 months for the passports to be processed and returned.
@legalfalcon why is it taking 2-3 months for my passport when others are receiving in 5-21 days. It’s already 2months now and I need to travel. Really upset over the delay. Could you please give me an insight on the reason for the delay.

Everything with IRCC is delayed. IRCC is currently sitting in a 2.6 milling application backlog. Passports sent to the visa offices are processed locally and based on the number of staff available and how much backlog they have determines the efficiency.

And FYI, the federal government is still working under COVID protocols, and the majority of employees are working from home.

Regarding the lack of reply from IRCC, you might find an explanation in the text below (comes in an automatic email from Mexico visa office, but other VOs may follow the same rules:

"If you fall into any of the following scenarios, you will not receive a response from us:

· You are requesting an update on the status of your application. Rest assured you will be notified when your file moves to the next step or if we require additional information/documents.
· You are requesting confirmation that our office received the documents/passports you recently submitted. Rest assured you will be notified if our office does not receive the documents required from you.
· You have questions on how to submit your passport(s)/photos to finalize your permanent residence application. You must contact your nearest Visa Application Center (VAC). Please refer to the link provided at the bottom of this email.
· You submitted your passport(s) to the VAC and you are requesting an estimated date for you to have the passport(s)/visa(s) back. Please allow 30 days for this step to be completed from the day you shipped your passport(s).
· You were notified your file was sent to our office for processing but you have not received any communication from us and you are providing documents. Rest assured the documents will be attached to your application but you will not receive any response until your file is reviewed by an Officer.
· You are appointing a new representative or informing about a change of circumstances or new contact details. Rest assured your request will be processed but you will not receive confirmation of such.
· You are sending an enquiry from an email different to the one you entered in your application forms (IMM 0008 & IMM 5476). We will only respond to authorized emails.
· You are informing us that you are currently in Canada and you received the letter requesting you to submit your passport(s) to the VAC. We will make the arrangements for you to be contacted by a local IRCC office in Canada so they explain to you how to proceed."

The best way for you to know what is going with your application is to request the GCMS notes.

But if there’s also no GU in your profile your file is 99% not being touched. I ordered a dozen of GCMS/CBSA notes in these 2 years and it always confirmed that this logic is correct.
