Anyone with FP request got any updates? It is seriously crazy to see my application getting lost somewhere.
No one seems to care to webforms, phone calls,
I am in the same boat as you... I sent my FP to RCMP on August 5th, they "claimed" to have sent it out on August 18th, now they say they actually sent it out on the 26th ( god knows if they really did).. I am upset that major government organizations make such mistakes and we get penalized. i guess my options are to wait another couple of weeks to see if they really get to ircc or if they are lost and need to be re-sent, i did the webform and everything, not sure if they care

I also asked RCMP to re-send my results. They informed it will take 2 weeks to reprint and send, as per them priority is for new FP requests.
I am also going to ask my MP next week to check with IRCC, can not just sit and wait for weeks and months.

I hope that the officers are getting free from Student visa applications. Hope that our online applications would move faster from here

Nope. The officers at Sydney, NS only process citizenship applications. The problem is that they don't have enough officers trained to handle online applications. According to an ATIP request made last year, as of September 2021, they only had 2 officers trained to process online applications.

The class takes 6 weeks and each class is able to train 11 officers. Not sure how many officers are trained for online at the moment but I'm guessing somewhere in the 50s-70s range. Balancing resources/officers to handle both intake formats will take time. I'm sure online will speed up at some point but when is the unknown answer.

It's going to be a long wait. The ATIP documents clearly said they're only targeting a minimum of 32,000 e-apps (i.e. 11% of the total DMs for FY2022-2023).

I've rarely seen such twisted and messed up organization, inviting people to apply online, but at the same time trapping them in a slow processing route, and above all, not disclosing the huge difference in treatment speed to the applicants.
Who would trust IRCC or the government after this ordeal ?

I agree IRCC is highly unorganized and work in some random order. No accountability and unreachable for any useful information.
Every time I call IRCC agents, I feel I know more than them. Even without checking the application details, they always say wait and watch.
MP is my last hope if they help to know the mystery of my fingerprints.

Can you request RCMP or FP agency to send result directly to you, than you could send it out to IRCC office by yourself? at least we can know exactly time when they received it via carrier's tracker.

RCMP does not sent results to candidates (maybe they used to do earlier but not now). They send directly to RCMP. I even requested if I can pay for expedited shipping for results to be sent again, RCMP declined that request.

Based on your home location, you can lookup your MP using this link
https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en
Every MP's office has a direct line with IRCC office and they are able to get more insights on any pending application than we as applicant are aware of.
I have used MP's help for my brother's WP, Mother's Visa application. I have noted once MP calls IRCC, somehow there is a fast progress on the application.
MP can not expedite or influence any decision but atleast the application comes on the table for someone to look at.
