That is not correct. If you have FP Letter, it clearly mentions for destination CPC Sydney, NS
It is the only address RCMP sends FP results to.

Incorrect. FP letter clearly states to have them sent to IRCC Vancouver. My mom had that as well. @andrewcwilliams is correct.

The letter asks us to tell the FP agency to send it to the specific address of IRCC Vancouver. It also says that the application will remain in your local citizenship office which will probably be Sydney, NS until the CIO (Centralized Intake Office) at Sydney, NS decides to distribute the applications accordingly. My guess is that you would know the processing office location if it changed when you get your test invitation or if you ask for the GCMS notes and it documents the file transfer.

This is what RCMP also told me. It could be possible that some FP requests mention other visa office locations.
For me, there is no visa office allocated as yet as per IRCC agent when I called last week.

I don't think it's a smart thing to do, one person did it and it didn't change much, I should have been better informed that's all.

In my mom case, it took nearly 6 weeks to have an updated for her FP result. She submited her FP on Aug 5, RCMP sent her result Aug 17. She did request RCMP to resend the result to IRCC Vancouver cause she did not get any feedback about that from Ircc call center agent on Sep 12. And 3 days later she got an update that they received her FP since 13 Aug.

Fingerprints request 5th August, finger submit on 5th August. (Request Letter came from and asked to delivery her FP result to IRCC Vancouver office)

RCMP sent out result on Wed, 17th August

On Sep 12th morning my mom call IRCC Call Center to ask if they received her FP or not. They said they did not have any updated about her FP result and they told her to continue waiting.

Tracker update on Sep 15th: FP Received on Sep 12th, message says will review shortly;
then Background status: Completed on Sep13th. all those updated about FP result only appear on Tracker Sep 15th.

Tracker updated on Sep 22th: Scheduled for Citizenship test from 26 Sep-16 Oct


Mississauga Office processing time is really fast these days.
