Hi, hope you all are fine.

I've been accepted by a Public University for MBA and I used Academic Reference and Supplier Reference for the admit.

My last study was Master in Commerce in 2017 and I've been working in my father's business from then. My Father's business is registered, has all the permits, GST, Current Account and Balance Sheet. Everything is in my father's name. The problem now is how do I prove that I've been working in my father's business for my study permit to IRCC. I don't draw any salary from the proprietorship as I get money through my Father in cash. So what should I attach for IRCC to know that I've been working legally and that can be verified easily by them:

Prove that it's revenue generating and legal firm by producing all the Firm's documents i.e GST Number, Registeration Details, Current Account, Balance Sheet, etc?
Proof of my Duties and Responsibilities of Job, Salary Certificate, References from Father and Two Suppliers? Attach Bills from Supplier for IRCC to verify that payment has been made to them from firm's business account. I can't use clients as reference as they pay us in Cash so it's not verifiable but we pay our suppliers through Bankn (Cheque, Transfers, etc)
Show the documents like Public Provident Fund where I deposited the money earned from the Job, around CAD 8000 over last 3-4 years? And also Recurring Deposit, around CAD 1000 from last year?

Should I attach any more documents? Should I go ask for more References(Suppliers)? Am I being paranoid?

Why would you need to submit evidence of being paid at your job? I think you are overthinking it. Maybe what you could do is to get a formal letter from your employer and maaaaybe don't be explicit in saying that it is your father's company. Working at your family business may be used against you... for example, the VO could say why do you need to study if you are already working at your family business?

But my father will be sponsoring me and I'll be filing visa is under non sds category so I'll be showing his Income Tax Returns & also Bank Details. So if there is my father's name on Experience Letter then won't the visa officer feel I hid the relationship?

I also think I'm overthinking (big understatement) & stressing over it.

Also what documents should I add as proof of Employment if I'm not explicit in showing my relationship (with my father's business).

Thank You for replying

1. If your dad is sponsoring you, all you need to submit are 4 bank statements to his name where to money to fund your studies and your stay will be. As far as I know, you don't need to submit his income tax returns or information about his company. I think you should also submit a letter signed by your dad, not completely sure on this one...

2. Doesn't your father company has a HR department or something? Is he the owner and only employee who could sign your letter? Also, it's not like working for your father's company means you will receive a refusal, but you will surely have to be very convincing when explaining how this degree will help you in your career. Just be strategic in how you approach this, there is no right answer here.

3. Don't lie in your application. Lying can get you banned. If the only thing you can show as proof of employment is a letter signed by your dad, then do that.

1. I've taken Education Loan (CAD 50K) which covers nearly 90% of course. Will take GIC of CAD 10K. Will attach my Bank Account of around CAD 10K, 2 Bank Account of Mother each of around CAD 9-10K & of Father's around CAD 10K. So total should be around CAD 100K.

My Parents Income Tax Return (ITR) will be around CAD 30-35K. And also their CA Report.

I also have 2 properties under my name which should be around CAD 500-600K.

My Total Tuition Fee (inclusive of all charges) is around CAD 55K.

I think this should be fine. Do tell me if I can add more.

2. It's small business with annual revenue of around CAD 180K-200K with thin margin. Most of our Customers are smaller shops & some even sell on footpaths so never thought of building a website also. We've around 6 Staff. 1 staff can be called Manager but he also gets paid in cash. And it'll become harder to verify Manager as he has only Phone number on Business Card & nothing else to show him as employees. Licence, Bank Accounts, Tax Documents all under my father's name so easier to verify.

If only I knew that I would go to Canada for studies I would have taken the low paying job at some KPO/BPO, wouldn't have to stress about this

3. I'm not going to use a single lie in application. I don't even want to use omission. I'll attach every documents I can think of that could support my case, apply for it & forget about everything. My mother is like you get the VISA then it's good, if you don't then just handle the business, it's not like end of the world.

Try to concentrate the funds in just one account and hold the money for 4 months so that no flags are raised (because you have to submit 4 months of statements). Either your own account (this would be ideal) or your mother's or father's account if you declare one of them as your sponsor. If you submit information of accounts of 3 different people, it could play against you.

I thought applicant had to attach 1 Bank Statement of every sponsor & applicant also. Will I've to transfer the money to my account & show no Bank Statement for my Parents? And do I need to attach Gift Deed if my Parents transfer the money? Or just Affidavit saying they're sponsoring me is enough?

I'm going to file for VISA in October first week so I can't wait 4 more months as it'll be very late by then & I might miss even January Admit (as September is already gone because of late processing by University). So I'll have to transfer the money from my Parents Bank Accounts. Will that be a problem

Sorry if the question seems silly as I really am overwhelmed by information regarding VISA. And if you can help me please guide me if there is good resource/guide about Non SDS applications. Thank you for your patience

Follow the instructions in the following links and you should be OK:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...269-applying-study-permit-outside-canada.html

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../study-canada/study-permit/get-documents.html

I was just referring to try and not submit documents of so many people as proof of funds. Try to make your application as simple as possible.

I think because of my overthinking I've complicated even simple stuff like this. I don't know how I missed such simple stuff. I'll try to organize, label & simplify my documents for VO. I'm really thankful for your help & patience.

Honestly your bigger issue is that you have a Masters of Commerce already and applying for a Canadian MBA. Not sure how you justify the costs of the program with higher pay, new position etc. if already have Commerce Masters. Don’t understand the difference in programs.

I've MCom in International Business which doesn't have much scope in India while MBA is minimum every Company asks for if you want to go into managerial role. Also in India trash MBA costs around ₹10-15 Lakh (CAD 20-30K) while good MBA costs atleast ₹18-24 Lakh even in Public/Govt College. Living Expenses is another ₹2-3 Lakh (CAD 5K) minimum per year. There are some very VFM but it's nearly impossible to get in. And not even 10 Bschool are in top 500. While the Canadian University I'm enrolling in is in Top 1000 & in business it's in Top 500. I was thinking of comparing costs & showing education qualification requirements (MBA) for different job positions that I want to target here.

Though it's not convincing now but I've 2-3 weeks to work on SOP & show why it's essential for me to get MBA to grow professionally.
