I just got 1 email that was payment confirmation. My application was submitted in May 2021. I got AOR too. As far as I know, People who submitted their applications between April-June last year did not receive the confirmation email after submitting their application.
It's all good as long as you see your applicaion being submitted on PR Portal.
Thank you! Fingers crossed for smooth next steps for you and for me to finally get an AOR.

I got both emails. Both the payment receipt email and the automatic email saying "Your permanent residence application has been successfully submitted".
Thanks for your response! I didn't, but I did get a note through the webform that they have received it + temporary number. Hope this is enough for someone to finally decide to pick up my application and do something about it after 15 months of waiting.

You're welcome. That sounds like you're gonna be fine. I submitted the application this year so getting the confirmation email seems to be different from those submitted in 2021.

Hello All,
I have applied in the OINP Master graduate stream and got the AOR and medical request as well. I also completed my medical exam and panel physician will submit the report in next week but from my side I am wondering that Do I need to upload medical proof to my IRCC account ?
How long did it take you to receive the AOR?

Also how long did it take for the OINP Provincial Nomination Certificate to process?

1) you need to submit all Police Certificates when you apply
2) every one is required to do a medical - i've been in Canada for 4 years and had to do one.
4) they might ask you do redo it- but it's super quick.
6) likely best to wait until they request the medical- i know some have done upfront but i'm not sure the process on that.
Thanks for helping me provide clarity to the questions, @agolliangatan.
Can anyone, please, also help with questions 3 and 7 ? These are the enquiries:

(3) I understand that the principal applicant is required to submit a test of English languauge proficiency result, is the spouse also mandated to submit one
as well?

(7) For the birth certficate, does anyone know if a notarised affidafvit (sworn to at the court of law) of date of birth can be used in lieu of a lost original date of birth certificate?
Thanks for your time.

Wait, can you please confirm for me: you submitted your application and received an email right away? The only thing I received was receipt that acknowledged that I have paid the fee, nothing else. Is an email a must? Much appreciated
I'm not sure it's a must be I received this message immediately after submitting my application:

"PR Portal (PR application) - Your Permanent Residence application has been successfully submitted | Portail de RP (demande de RP) – votre demande de résidence permanente a été soumise avec succès

(La version française suit la version anglaise…)

This is an automated message. Do not reply to this email.

Hello,

This email confirms that you have successfully submitted your permanent residence application.

We’ll review your application to make sure you:
  • provided all of the information we asked for
  • uploaded all required documents correctly
  • paid the fees
We’ll send you a confirmation email (an acknowledgement of receipt or AOR) once an agent has confirmed your application is complete.

Please note that we’ll return your application to you if it is incomplete.

It can take some time before you receive the AOR.
Check your email regularly to see if you’ve received it. To avoid missing our emails, check your junk or spam folder.

Thank you,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada"

3. Spouse's test is required if you are claiming to get points otherwise no.
