Those of you who didn't provide an address during landing; did you call the IRCC, raise a webform, fax the form or use the web portal to update the address?

The portal couldn't find my record (Lambda grads strike again), so I just sent a fax and raised a webform.

Not yet, for the Taiwanese... And the Afghans are so last year... They think we all have the attention span of a hummingbird...smh
I am nearing 3 months since ADR submission and I pray everyday and night that my application is finalized before some country wakes up and starts a new refugee crisis. I am so close to desperation that I may start asking my neighbors, random strangers on the internet to pray for my application.

Tip: This is high time somebody make a GoPrayMe website. Its like Gofundme but only thoughts and prayers. I am not an IT guy so yeah.

If you're not claiming points for it, you might as well be unemployed, I don't think that it'll matter, unless you use the same bank and when you submit your 6 months statement, regular deposits may raise a few eyebrows...
Its the same bank .. what do you suggest then ? Should I change my bank account?
Also, I mean if I am not claiming points for it, would it be even of a concern ? And also I didnt get you about ‘you might as well be unemployed’? Can you please explain?

Thanks a lot @stirredo ; I have tried calling in the past but never got through. It was just hopeless trying to actually speak to someone..so I have just relied on webforms..Would you know a number that a good chance of getting connected from India?

It takes many hours to call IRCC. Sometimes it used to take me two days of trying to get through. It requires a lot of patience but you will get through eventually.

Download TextNow or use their website (which is what I used) to make the call to IRCC helpline. The number is 1-888-242-2100.

I used to space out the calls in 15 minutes intervals.

About the addition of child request - it is very unusual. I have not seen it before. But the procedure remains the same for you. If the email mentions an email id, reply there. Otherwise, send the web form and keep calling them.

Hi,
My NOC falls under Skill Level B and requires below education:

  • Two to three years of post-secondary education at a community college, institute of technology, or CEGEP or
  • Two to five years of apprenticeship training or
  • Three to four years of secondary school and more than two years of on-the-job training, specialized training courses, or specific work experience.
  • Occupations with supervisory responsibilities and occupations with significant health and safety responsibilities, such as firefighters, police officers, and registered nursing assistants are all assigned skill level B.
I have got only my postgraduate diploma( New Zealand) evaluated from WES with Canadian equivalency of Post Graduate Diploma(one Year) and not the bachelors(indian), and I have selected "One year Program at University, college, trade or technical school" under EE Profile education section.

Will I have any problems with my application because I only have one year of diploma? I do have 1.5 years of work experience under my NOC as well.

What I meant is if you are not claiming points, as far as IRCC is concerned, you being unemployed is none of their business if you fulfill the work experience requirements within the timeframe of interest.

I am not claiming points but yes I am getting salary in the same bank account ( same in which I was getting previous company salary and also the one for my proof of funds! ) How to move ahead ? What should I do ?
Also, as far as I know, if I ll get an ITA, I ll have to mention even my current experience in the personal history section and the proprietor is my father only. I know that would become quite obvious ( only if they would pay any attention to this experience). So, the only question is would it be of any matter to them?

I moved to Calgary about 4 months ago and I love it here. The summer is beautiful, people are nice and the city has a lot to offer in terms of social and outdoor activities. I'll move to BC if the winters are too extreme but most people I've interacted with like it here and say you get used to the cold after a while. Best thing is everything is affordable compared to other larger cities in Canada.
Summer is nice no doubt. I'm curious to see what you think after one full winter.

hi everyone, i had a crs score of 508, i have just updated my profile and now it is 558, if next round the crs is below 558, will i receive an ita ?
because i am a little bit confused about the number of people invited vs the cutoff score criteria ?

thanks a lot!

Yeah so far as you're above the CRS cutoff you'll get ITA. If I may ask what made you jump so high by 50 points?

I think that you should collect all pay slips from your family business, that way the odds of it being fake will be alleviated. If you have them, tax returns will be helpful too. As you said, mention it in current employment and just be ready for the small chance that they ask for verification.
