I totally agree with other forum members, it is not a wise idea to sign a lease before seeing the place ,there is a lot of scams going around here.
One more thing never rent apartments/basements from certain people(I am sure you understoodwhat I meant ,I have mentionedin my post several times), if you are renting single family homes, make sure you do your research thoroughly and meet the owner before you sign the lease, make sure you discusseverythinglike laundry, cutting grass, ploughing snow, maintenence, utilities, privacy (you might think this are basic things, trust me there is where they take advantage of you)etc, certain things you can't tolerate it ,you are moving to a new country you don't want to put yourself through that hassle .I heard certain people are so stinchy they will make your stay living hell. Many landlords I mentioned are just cheap and they will be extra nice to you when they meet you first but there is a lot of traps behind that smile.
Choosing a home is similar to Choosing friends believe me you don't want to make a bad choice on that.I am not exaggerating, I am telling the plain truth.
Can you please elaborate about the discussion of laundry, grass cutting etc. that you talked about?
I mean what should be the discussion? Who's responsible for it or who's paying for it?

I think we should combine some extremely helpful and knowledgeable posts here and make a practical newcomer's guide to Canada.
This is some information you learn only after getting your hands burned.

In you stay in Apartment complexes you don't need to worry amount maintenance, grass cutting. You may pay a flat fee for that (Google HOA). You only pay Electric, Gas, and Internet, and sometime for picking up the trash. This may not be the case if you are living in a house (especially basements) where owner stays above you. Each city has laws about cutting grasses. Mostly, the owner needs to take care of the grass in front of the house. They cannot let it grow as they want. So what @PRANIT01 is trying to say here is that make sure you know the rules of the house. You should talk (prior to signing the lease) to the landlord whether you need to share the chores of cutting grass, pay utilities (internet, gas, electricity) to the owner or directly to the service provider and other stuffs. About Laundry, you do laundry if you have washer/dryer in your house and it adds to the electricity costs. If you don't have one, you will have to do laundry at a laundromat.

Some tenants have to pay to use laundry and do lawn/grass work as per rental agreement. But my tenants don't have worry about laundry or lawn as I don't have either.

The processing times for new PR cards went from 65 days to 81 days again. What excuse can they have now? :D
Hmmm, let's see . Monkeypox recently arrived in Canada, so yeah IRCC is back to working from home. Also, Shakira might need Canada's help to avoid prison so maybe IRCC is deploying all their resources to process her visa. I could think of more :D.
