looking for visitor visa of my sister, i am pr my son is citizen , my sister is totally dependent upon me she has no one to take care of her in india , because of her i am struck here in india and i can not travel back,
NO I CAN NOT LEAVE HER ALONE HERE AND TRAVEL TO CANADA AND APPLY FOR HER VISA

Visitor Visa for Parents Timeline

Application submission & AOR : 15 Jun
Biometrics Collection Letter: 16 Jun
Biometric Done : 22 Jun
BVL & PPR: 10 Jul

Passport pickup: 12 Jul
Visa approved & Stamped: 15 Jul
Passport Received: 16 Jul

Parents have a valid US B1/B2 Visa

Documents Submitted:

1. US visa copy
2. No marriage certificate so just uploaded a letter to use passport as an alternate proof as it has spouse's name
3. No proof of funds is asked if you have a US visa. However I uploaded bank statement in client details section.
4. Also included Invite letter, My PR card copy, DL copy as address proof, My passport copy as a proof for relationship with parents. All this in client information section for each parent

if sister is over 18 years of age

She has to
1. show her funds
2. establish home ties
3. demonstrate why this travel is necessary

If you are sponsoring everything, it weakens her home ties

Consult an attorney to explore options of sponsorship etc

I'm starting to feel doubtful about this process since background check seems to take long.

Hi ,

I am sent invitaion to my brother and family for visitor visa , I am canadisan citizen . Im invitaion letter i have invited them on august second week to third week .
We still havent received VISA .
But I need to travel outside canada for that particular time . would it be OK . As we havent received any result for visa , for my brother. And in case the rocessing starts at that time I am travelling ( that is time i have invited my brother for visit ) would it be safe .
Please advice.........

Processing doesn't depend on dates mentioned in the application. You can travel.
